Axis of Resistance Initiatives Stall US/Israeli Aggression

The Axis of Resistance in West Asia, through a series of coordinated actions, persistent strikes and pressure, and clear direction of purpose has driven the US and its Israeli proxy into a notable state of tentative paralysis.

After the historic October 7th attack by Hamas on the settler occupation Israel threatened a ground invasion with the goal of destroying Hamas as a military and political organization. This threat was backed up with a massive military build up on the border of Gaza and the addition of US warships into the region as a support role.

However, the resistance made it clear that the war will not remain, as the imperialists demanded, contained in Gaza. And due to this reality, the US and Israel have taken to cowardly bombing, starving, and massacring civilians, while tentatively avoiding engagement with the resistance itself.

Hezbollah has immensely increased its armed activity against the Israeli state. Notably, the attacks have actually moved from the occupied Sheeba farms into what Israel considers its soverign territory. They destroyed several radar stations and vehicles. So far the IDF has suffered 40 deaths, 12 Merkavas destroyed, 2 APC’s, 1 Hummer, and at least 20 radar and surveillance sites destroyed from Hezbollah guerrillas.

On October 21st, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq attacked the US military base in Erbil with two suicide drones “hitting their targets directly,” according to their communique.

The next day, on the 22nd, the same organization launched two more drones against the US military base in Ayn al-Assad in Iraq.

Through both days Hamas and PIJ launched dozens of rockets at occupied cities and towns without any respite. Armed clashes also continued unabated in the West Bank.

However, on the 22nd Israeli occupation forces attempted a ground incursion into Gaza, near Khan Younis. After advancing several meters into the territory they faced a well organized ambush with RPG’s and small arms. One zionist soldier died and several were wounded. A tank was destroyed in the operation and a few remaining soldiers fled on foot.

This humiliating defeat furthers the growing notion that the Israeli state cannot engage in military action outside of aerial bombardments.

Unsurprisingly, the response to this latest failure was swift and barbaric. The US is moving more soldiers and forces to the region. And Israel proceeded to launch its most savage air strikes yet. They bombed Jabalia refugee camp which is tremendously dense.

The media director of the Palestinian Red Crescent said that Al-Quds Hospital received a warning of a possible bombardment “at any moment.” They then proceeded to bomb remarkably close to the vicinity of the hospital, extraordinarily soon after they massacred people in the last hospital bombing a few days previously. In the last days alone the US and Israel killed over 400 Palestinian civilians.

The big question looming over the entire conflict is whether Israel will commit to the invasion it has long threatened. If the imperialist act it is almost certain that they will be dragged into a mammoth war in West Asia that may actually lead to the decimation of the US as the predominant world power.
