Spokesman of the Yemeni Armed Forces General Yahya Sarea read out on Monday a statement which announces that the Yemeni navy carried out a missile attack on a US ship in Aden Gulf in response to the US-UK aggression on Yemen.
The targeted vessel was identified as a bulk carrier flying the Marshall Islands flag, located near Aden.
The US Central Command further confirmed that a Yemeni missile struck a US container ship in the Red Sea, with no reported casualties, according to the US military.
The Yemeni military media quoted a source in the naval forces as confirming that “operations to prevent ‘Israeli’ ships or those heading to the occupied Palestinian ports are continuing.”
The Yemeni source stressed that these operations will continue until the aggression and siege on Gaza stops, stressing that navigation is safe in the Arab and Red Seas and Bab al-Mandab for all ships except ‘Israeli’ ships or those heading to the occupation ports.
Here is the full statement:
In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate
Allah says: {Permission [to fight] is given to those who are fought because they have been wronged – and indeed, Allah is competent to give them victory} [Quran 22:39]In support of the oppressed Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, who are still subjected to the worst kinds of massacres by the Zionist entity, and in response to the American-British aggression on our country.
The Yemeni Armed Forces’ Navy, with the help of Allah Almighty, carried out a military operation targeting an American ship in the Gulf of Aden, using a number of suitable naval missiles, achieving a precise and direct hit.
The Yemeni Armed Forces consider all American and British warships participating in the aggression against our country as hostile targets within our forces’ target bank.
The Yemeni Armed Forces confirm that a response to American and British attacks is inevitable, and that any new aggression will not go unanswered and unpunished.
The Yemeni Armed Forces will continue their military operations and enforce the decision to prevent ‘Israeli’ navigation in the Arabian and Red Seas until the cessation of aggression and lifting of the blockade on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
The Yemeni Armed Forces assure the continuity of trade movement in the Arabian and Red Seas to all destinations except the ports of occupied Palestine and are committed to taking all defensive and offensive measures within their right to defend and confront the American-British aggression.
Allah is sufficient for us and He is the best Guardian, the best Lord, and the best Helper
