The Palestinian Resistance continues to lead top-tier operations targeting occupation forces on several axes throughout the Gaza Strip while attacking several posts set up by occupation forces in the besieged territory.
On Sunday, the spokesperson for the occupation forces admitted that three additional Zionist troops had been killed in the Gaza Strip. One of the soldiers was allegedly taken captive by the Resistance on October 7, 2023. According to Zionist media outlets, intelligence indicates that the soldier, who served under the 7th Armored Brigade’s 77th Battalion, is dead, and his body remains held in the Gaza Strip.
It is worth noting that a large number of Zionist captives were deliberately killed in the brutal airstrikes and shelling that targeted the Gaza Strip.
Moreover, a soldier serving under the occupation’s Givati Brigade was also killed in confrontations with the Palestinian Resistance in the northern Gaza Strip. This adds to another soldier of the Givati Brigade who was killed and an officer and two soldiers who were severely injured in the same battle on Saturday.
In total, two soldiers in the Brigade were announced dead since Saturday, while a company commander from the Givati Brigade was also announced killed on Saturday in a separate incident in the northern Gaza Strip. This means that 580 soldiers and officers have been killed since October 7, while 240 have been killed since the Zionist military invaded the Gaza Strip in late October 2023.
Operation ‘Duck Hunting’
While the Zionist military admitted to some of its losses in the Gaza Strip, al-Mujahideen Brigades’ military media released footage of “Operation Duck Hunting” which its fighters jointly conducted with their comrades in the Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s (PIJ) al-Quds Brigades.
The caption released alongside the video explains that sniper units were able to target six soldiers and officers. The video identifies the six soldiers who were targeted by sniper units three of which were positioned near a parked Merkava tank in an area to the west of Khan Younis, while the other three were seen positioned on the bridge of a moving tank nearby.
A Resistance sniper was also spotted in the video as he shot a Soviet-developed SVD rifle at the troops, incapacitating at least two as shown in the footage below.
February 25 operations
Al-Mujahideen Brigades fighters also engaged occupation armored and infantry forces in al-Zaytun neighborhood, near Gaza City in the north, which has witnessed intense fighting recently, as occupation forces attempt to advance into the neighborhood once again.
On their part, al-Quds Brigades fighters launched a number of operations in the same area, targeting occupation forces with mortar shells on two different occasions, one of which was jointly conducted with the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine’s (DFLP) National Resistance Brigades fighters.
An al-Quds Brigades sniper unit also shot down a soldier to the south of al-Zaytun neighborhood. To the northeast in Jabalia, a group of al-Quds Brigades fighters set up a 107mm rocket artillery shell, directly aiming it at a nearby grouping of soldiers, located to their east. The rocket precisely hit its intended target, killing and injuring members of the force.
Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades fighters also fired a number of 107mm short-range rocket artillery shells at Israeli forces positioned to the south of al-Zaytun neighborhood.
Al-Qassam Brigades releases new footage
Although Hamas’ al-Qassam Brigades did not publicly announce any recent operations on Sunday, its Military Media channel did release a new video. The footage highlights several operations conducted by al-Qassam fighters and sapper units, including the firing of rocket-propelled grenades and thermobaric shells at Zionist armored vehicles and infantry units, as well as an accurately executed ambush, in which at least two Israeli armored vehicles were targeted with large-caliber explosively formed penetrators (EFPs).
Iraqi Resistance declares return to operations to eject US occupying force from the region
The Secretary-General of the al-Nujaba Movement, Akram al-Kaabi, declared on Sunday that the Islamic Resistance in Iraq will maintain resistance operations to force US forces out of the country and will not stop attacking Zionist targets in Palestine.
Iraqi Resistance groups launched a series of operations last October in support of the Palestinian people and their Resistance in Gaza, who are still suffering an ongoing genocide. The groups affirmed repeatedly that attacks on US bases in Syria and Iraq, as well as on Zionist sites, will not stop until the war on the Strip ends.
Al-Kaabi added that the Islamic Resistance in Iraq has made its decision to be “Islamic, Iraqi and Resistors,” adding that “We alone bear its consequences and have prepared ourselves for it.”
“We will not abandon” the objective to “liberate Iraq” from US presence and support Palestine by striking the occupation.
The Iraqi government recently announced that it is in talks with Washington to reach a framework for the withdrawal of the US-led coalition from Iraq.
This decision came following several US aggressions on member groups of the Popular Mobilization Forces PMF – a governmental security apparatus – which resulted in the martyrdom and wounding of many Iraqi citizens. The American attacks also targeted sites operated by the country’s Defense Ministry.
On that note, the leader of al-Nujaba emphasized that “it is a delusion to imagine that the American occupier will surrender and withdraw from Iraq through negotiation,” stressing that the United States only understands the language of force and armed confrontation.
In its most recent aggression on Iraq, the United States assassinated earlier this month a prominent leader of Iraq’s Kataib Hezbollah, martyr Hajj Wisam Mohammed Saber (Abu Baqer Al-Saadi). Washington later claimed responsibility for the attack.
Following the US killing of the Iraqi citizen, Armed Forces spokesperson Brigadier Yahya Rasool said then that US forces “threaten civil peace and violate Iraq’s sovereignty” following a “clearly identifiable assassination operation” via an airstrike in a residential neighborhood inside Baghdad.
