The Palestinian Resistance has been engaged in heavy confrontations with occupation forces in al-Qarara area to the northeast of the city of Khan Younis on Friday.
The Resistance has been intensely confronting occupation forces since 5 am on Friday in the southern Gaza Strip, according to our correspondent. Field sources confirmed that Zionist military rescue helicopters evacuated a number of casualties from al-Qarara. Concurrently, occupation forces attempted to infiltrate the eastern side of the area, attempting to evacuate a number of killed and wounded soldiers.
Attack helicopters intervened and targeted the area in which Resistance fighters confronted the evacuation team after several of the Israeli troops were injured in the operation.
Zionist media outlets confirmed the evacuation of 22 soldiers injured in the Gaza Strip to Zionist hospitals via helicopters. The management of Soroka Hospital said that more than 10 helicopter landings occurred in the past few hours, transporting injured individuals from the Gaza Strip.
Palestinian Resistance factions made several announcements on Friday, confirming that their fighters conducted a number of joint operations and destroyed at least one Merkava 4 tank.
A list of operations in the Gaza Strip
Al-Mujahideen Brigades
Fighters of al-Mujahideen Brigade targeted a Merkava 4 tank with a locally-produced Saeer rocket, destroying the tank to the east of Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip.
The group’s fighters downed a Zionist drone in the southeast axis of Gaza, near the al-Zaytoun neighborhood, with a shoulder-fired surface-to-air missile. Al-Mujahideen fighters also engaged in “fierce battles with the enemy” on several fronts of Zionist advancement in the city of Khan Younis.
Al-Quds Brigades
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s (PIJ) al-Quds Brigades, in coordination with fighters from al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, targeted groupings of occupation troops around the “Erez” crossing to the north of Gaza, with a barrage of 60mm mortar shells.
At 9:00 pm on Friday, al-Quds Brigades fighters fired a large amount of rockets toward occupied Askalan and “Zikim” to the north of the Gaza Strip.
Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades
In coordination with al-Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades, al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades successfully targeted a grouping of occupation soldiers and Israeli armored vehicles to the east of the central Gaza Strip.
The factions also targeted groupings of enemy soldiers and armored vehicles with concentrated rocket barrages in Khan Younis.
The Palestinian Resistance has been confrontation invading Zionist forces since late October 2023, dealing heavy casualties among its forces and military equipment, despite the huge disparity that exists between the two sides in terms of military advancement and their available arsenals.
Palestinian Resistance factions have underscored one of the greatest epics in modern history, maintaining steadfastness in their principles.
Abu Obeida: Resistance demands same ratio for detainees
Zionist airstrikes killed a total of seven captives held in the Gaza Strip by the Palestinian Resistance, Abu Obeida, the spokesperson for Hamas’ al-Qassam Brigades, announced on Friday evening.
“We previously announced the disruption of our communication with our fighters guarding a group of enemy prisoners in [the Gaza Strip]. We [suspected] that some of the prisoners were killed as a result of Zionist airstrikes,” Abu Odeida stressed.
“After thorough examination in recent weeks, we confirm the martyrdom of several of our fighters and the death of seven enemy prisoners in the sector due to Zionist airstrikes,” the spokesperson said.
He released the names of three captives killed by their own military, including three elderly captives who were mentioned in a previous announcement on December 23, 2023.
The three were identified as Chaim Ben Nechama (Peri), 79, Yoram Ben Miriam (Metzger), 80, and Amiram Ben Sara (Cooper), 84.
Abu Obeida added that the group would later disclose the names of the remaining four deceased captives after the Resistance confirmed their identities.
Furthermore, he revealed that the number of “enemy prisoners” killed by occupation forces “may have exceeded seventy.”
“Throughout this time, we have sought to preserve the lives of the prisoners. However, it is evident that the enemy’s leadership deliberately intends to eliminate this issue by killing its captives.”
However, the military spokesperson confirmed that the Resistance would only exchange the same number of Palestinian detainees for the same number of Zionist captives, be they dead or alive.
Immediately after Abu Obeida’s statement, al-Qassam Brigades’ Military Media released footage of the three captives, featuring three phrases written in Arabic, English, and Hebrew. The phrases stated, “We tried to keep them alive, but Netanyahu insisted on killing them. All 7 killed by IDF weapons.”
A poster al-Qassam Brigades published today showed the Zionist Prime Minister crossing off a picture of his “buddy” Yoram Itak Metzger with a red marker.
“Netanyahu abandoned his buddies to face their fate alone without saving them,” the poster read.
Despite the fact that the Palestinian Resistance has made extensive preparations to ensure the safety of the captives it holds, the Zionist political and military command has reportedly made concentrated efforts to eliminate any prisoners it has not been able to retrieve.
Some believe that this comes in line with the Zionist authorities’ attempts to lower the price they have to pay in a prisoner exchange deal, which is expected to eventually occur via mediated talks.
Yemen protests continue
For the 21st week in a row, the Yemeni masses gathered in all governorates for their million-man march in support of Palestine, this week under the title “You Are Not Alone…Steadfast With Gaza.”
Protestors held up banners of Aaron Bushnell, the 25-year-old American soldier that self-immolated in front of the zionist embassy in Washington DC in support of Gaza.
The march organizers again reaffirmed the continuation of demonstrations and marches in support of Palestine, as well as the continuation of military mobilization and training, which has so far trained 237,000 new Yemeni soldiers.
They condemned the disgraceful stance and collusion of Arab regimes with the Zionist entity, while praising the operations of the Yemeni Armed Forces, asserting that they will not stop until the aggression on Gaza ceases and the siege is lifted.
Finally, they called for the continued boycott of American and Zionist products.
