KBDH Spokesperson Hêvî Sarya “We Have Left Six Years Behind as the United Revolutionary Movement of Women. We Celebrate Our 7th Foundation Anniversary”

March 8, 2024. At such a time in history, we have left behind 6 years as the United Revolutionary Movement of Women. We are celebrating our 7th anniversary. In this historical moment when our Women’s Freedom Struggle, our women’s revolution continues its march with enthusiasm, we are proud to fly this flag as an important position of the struggle, as a political military organization of women. March 8 is also the anniversary of the MLKP / Communist Women’s Organization, the component organization of our KBDH. With love and respect, we would like to congratulate the Communist Women’s Organization, which has left 9 years behind. Greetings to the anniversary of KKÖ, which has made great contributions to our united women’s struggle.

We are going through an important process in Turkey and Kurdistan. In fact, we, as KBDH, have assumed an important role at a stage when the signs of the 3rd world war are beginning to be heard around the world. We are in a political conjuncture in Palestine where more than 30 thousand people have lost their lives, hundreds of thousands of people have been wounded and more than a million people have migrated. We are also in a political conjuncture where the war in Ukraine has completed its second year. Of course, the geography of Turkey and Kurdistan, due to its strategic position both in the Middle East and in Europe, is a candidate to be the voice of these signs of the 3rd world war from a different front.

Therefore, in terms of the year 2024 and the years to come, our oppressed peoples, oppressed women and sexual identities in Turkey and Kurdistan must carry the class and gender struggle and the national struggle forward. In fact, to turn the structural crisis of the imperialist capitalist system in favor of the women’s revolution. We have a responsibility to turn it in favor of our peoples and oppressed genders. With the awareness and responsibility of this, today we are celebrating the anniversary of our foundation as KBDH. We are also aware that the Women’s United Revolutionary Movement is rowing against the current.

At a stage when the objective and subjective conditions of the revolution are developing and the contradictions are progressing exponentially, as women revolutionaries, as revolutionaries of oppressed sexual identities, we are holding a very important position of resistance. And we are moving forward by paying the price for this and by martyring many of our pioneering women fighters, pioneering women organized revolutionary women friends for this very cause. We are advancing by inflicting injuries. We are aware that a high political struggle requires costs.

Therefore, KBDH guerrillas, KBDH, organized revolutionary women are raising the political struggle today by bearing these costs. As women, we are also aware that we are the yeast of united struggle. Because today, both capitalism and male domination represent groupism, powerism and propertyism precisely because of their position. The oppressed gender, on the other hand, represents communalism, comradeship, solidarity, sharing and at the same time paying the price together, producing together, building together. Therefore, as KBDH, we are aware that we must also fight against groupism, propertyism and powerism. Therefore, it is also our responsibility to develop the united struggle of women, to develop resistance against all the divisive, hegemonic encirclement of capitalism and male domination. Therefore, the KBDH has an important place in the struggle against male domination, the struggle against capitalism and the domination of capital, and the struggle against fascism and colonialism.

KBDH today stands in a distinctive place in the struggle against fascism and colonialism in Turkey and Kurdistan. On this very basis, it has also meant the unification of women on a new plane. The KBDH represents a first in the world in terms of the unification of women’s organizations with such different programmatic views and strategies. Therefore, yesterday we characterized it as a modest step not only in terms of its role in Turkey and Kurdistan but also in the Middle East and the world, and today we continue to advance this modest step. As the Women’s United Revolutionary Movement, we would like to pay special tribute to our dear Delal Amed, our dear Nudem friend, our dear Aynur Ada, our dear Ceren Güneş, who were with us yesterday with their labor, heart and mind in the founding stages, but today joined the caravan of the immortals.

And again, we would like to commemorate our dear revolutionary, socialist, communist, patriotic women comrades, our immortal women comrades who have become stars and assumed the role of our pole star, with love, respect and high devotion. At this very stage, we finally state that our struggle against male domination, the domination of capital and fascism in Turkey and Kurdistan will surely triumph. We call on all women to grow the rebellion against fascism and male domination and march to the women’s revolution. We will surely win. Our women’s revolution and our struggle for socialism will surely be crowned with victory.

Either victory or victory!
