Help us transform lives!
At the JLS Housing Center, we have a powerful mission: to provide a tranquil and productive haven for incarcerated women activists and political prisoners upon their release. We believe in being a positive steppingstone, offering a wealth of resources and training to empower these individuals and help them rebuild their lives.
Our commitment to change begins with comprehensive resources that assist individuals in obtaining vital records and reconnecting with community organizations. We also provide support in crafting impressive resumes and portfolios, showcasing their skills and experiences to potential employers.
Our dedication to transformation goes beyond resources. We understand the importance of holistic development, which is why our training programs cover physical, mental, and nutritional well-being. Through self-defense training, mindfulness practices, and nutritional education, we aim to empower individuals and foster a sense of peace, resilience, and confidence.
In July 2023, we are proud to share the progress we’ve made in providing a better non-traditional housing experience for returning women activists and political prisoners. We have completed significant improvements, including new roofing, updated electrical panel, and enhanced security measures.
However, we still need funding to make all the necessary wheelchair and handicap accessible modifications.
Hidden within the walls of U.S. prisons are extraordinary individuals who have the potential to shape our communities and transform our nation. They are human rights activists, religious leaders, abolitionists, anarchists, and Jailhouse Lawyers. It is crucial that we offer unwavering support to ensure they don’t get trapped in the cycle of struggling for basic necessities upon their release.
Additionally, our project recognizes the urgent need for safe spaces for domestic violence victims. By providing safe house accommodation, we aim to offer a refuge for those who have endured unimaginable pain and suffering.
We invite you to make a difference through private donations. Reach out to us directly at JailhouseLawyersSpeak@protonmail.com or donate through cashapp $arebelsworld or venmo @arebelsworld. Together, let’s stand in solidarity, uplift these remarkable individuals, and create a world where justice and compassion prevail. Join us in transforming lives and building a brighter future!
Sincerely,
JLS Housing Center
