Clashes on Anniversary of Social Uprising: Colombia

In the afternoon and evening of Sunday, April 28th, new demonstrations to commemorate the social explosion that occurred throughout the national territory during the pandemic were reported in southern Bogota.

Demonstrations took place in the town of Usme, but especially in the Yomasa district, where dozens of demonstrators clashed with anti-riot forces.

It was late at night that the situation turned violent, with protesters throwing stones and Molotov cocktails at the police. They also set fire to a Metropolitan Police motorcycle.
