Against Contempt and Discrimination Solidarity — CNI

To all the compañer@s, collectives, networks, organizations, peoples, communities and individuals who joined us on May 27 and who joined us in solidarity in this action of resistance and rebellion against the bad government, we would like to thank them for their support and solidarity.

Yesterday, we had a dialogue table with representatives of the CDMX Government and INVI, at which they were supposed to respond to our demands; however, this did not happen. It is regrettable that after more than 25 years of demanding the right to housing, after more than 3 years and 7 months of having taken the INPI and on the eve of our 3rd birthday (June 17, 2021), of having expropriated the property of Zacatecas 74, we still do not have access to a dignified and decent housing as established by Article 4 of the Constitution. Unlike those who receive it just as a gift of electoral proselytism, we demand it paid, not given. In the face of such contempt and governmental indifference, and by mandate of our community, WE DECIDE TO STAY INSIDE YOUR FACILITIES, UNTIL WE FIND AN ANSWER TO OUR DEMANDS.

The reaction to our decision was totally criminalized, judged, branded as irresponsible, we were told that we would be responsible for those who happened by actions like this, because they had a great responsibility at this moment with the electoral process on the doorstep, with the campaign closing event of #ClaudiaSheinbaum and that they could not waste their time in irresponsible actions.

#IntiMuñoz, he had already told us, “that with our actions we play the game to the right”, Ja!!. In their institutional turmoil and their lack of political ethics to listen to and respond to the demands of a small group of indigenous people who resist their contempt and indifference, it led the representatives of the “4th Transformation” Government, who were tired of evoking a “City of Rights”, and after accusing us of “breaking the dialogue” and of “having kidnapped” many citizens simply because other members of the community blocked access to government offices, these two civil servants, Inti Muñoz, Secretary of the UVI and Erasto Ensastiga, Undersecretary of Government, LEFT THE TABLE AND WITHDREW. Who broke the Dialogue? Who lost patience? Who, making use of their mandate of government, despises indigenous peoples and communities in this way? Inti Muñoz, who every time we met, “repeatedly told us that he had the Zapatista struggle in his heart,” “that he understood our struggle. WHAT INCONGRUENCE INTI MUÑOZ, yesterday, as many years ago, the Zapatista struggle stopped beating in your heart. You just dont accept it, and all youre left with are speeches, badly made, by the way.

Something went through their minds, of both officials, who in less than 5 minutes were already sitting at the table again, we think they didnt return worried about having left some indigenous people sitting at the table, they repressed because their boss #MartíBattesGuadarrama, would scold them for their inability, for their intolerance, for their pride in not understanding something very simple, the right to the City, that indigenous peoples and communities have.
Well, in order not to make the story so long, and after more than 10 hours of having decided to stay inside their offices to demand an official response to our demands, finally, the CDMX government handed over a letter in which it assumes its responsibility to put an end (they say) to the “conflict” that has generated the #TomaDelINPI and they pledged to do their part!

This administration is about to leave and is in a hurry to solve what they have not been able to do for more than 20 years, and more than 3 years and 7 months since the INPI was taken over.

If they keep their word we will talk about what is good, if they do not keep their commitments, we will also talk about what is coming and, most certainly, it will be the “new” administration that arrives! Well, that is if you don’t want to make a UTOPIA of the House of Indigenous Peoples and Communities “Samir Flores Soberanes”

Our Dreams, Our Nightmares, Our Dead and Our Missing Dont Fit in Their Urns
