Eight Guerrillas and One State Paramilitary Killed in Chhattisgarh — India


Eight Maoists and an anti-guerrilla paramilitary of the STF (Special Task Force) were killed in a clash in Narayanpur District, Chhattisgarh State, on Saturday. Two other members of the security forces were wounded during the exchange of fire and were taken to Ramakrishna Hospital in Raipur. The shooting began around 7 a. m. in the Abhujmad Forest, where a joint team of security personnel from four districts (Narayanpur, Kanker, Dantewada and Kondagaon) was involved in an anti-revolutionary guerrilla operation.
