Al-Shujaiya battles rage on for 3rd day

Reports state that on Saturday the Palestinian Resistance continues to carry out deadly ambushes targeting the occupation forces in the alleys of the al-Shujaiya neighborhood, where a major battle is taking place.

Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) movement, announced that its fighters targeted with mortar shells the command center of the occupation’s field operations in al-Shujaiya, as well as groupings of troops and positions of military vehicles in the area.

The Brigades, who have been highly active in Gaza City following renewed Zionist incursion into multiple neighborhoods, also directly engaged occupation forces for the third straight day, ambushing them on several axes.

Al-Quds Brigades fired a tandem rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) at a Namer armored personnel carrier (APC). The anti-armor shell successfully impacted the armored vehicle, setting it ablaze and causing casualties among its crewmembers in al-Shujaiya.

The Brigades confirmed that a military rescue helicopter landed at the site of the ambush to transport the casualties to nearby hospitals.

Moreover, Hamas’ al-Qassam Brigades also conducted a series of operations in al-Shujaiya, detailing one of several ambushes executed in the area.

An anti-personnel improvised explosive device (IED) was set off in the neighborhood by al-Qassam sapper units that had set up the explosive at a previous time. The explosive killed and injured several Zionist troops, who were also transported by rescue helicopters.

Al-Mujahideen Brigades, the military wing of al-Mujahideen movement, also defended against the renewed Zionist invasion of al-Shujaiya.

Zionist forces reinforce Tal-Hawa incursion, encounter fierce Resistance

To the southwest of the al-Shujaiya, in Gaza City’s Tal al-Hawa neighborhood, al-Quds Brigades fighters lured occupation forces into several ambushes. A Zionist special force attempted to infiltrate the neighborhood earlier on Friday and was met with a resounding operation, executed by al-Qassam fighters.

On Saturday, al-Quds Brigades fighters detonated two IEDs planted on a route into the neighborhood, damaging several armored vehicles. The Brigades’ fighters also destroyed an armored vehicle in the neighborhood via a large IED.

In the same neighborhood, an al-Qassam fighter planted an explosively formed penetrator (EFP), Shawaz, hitting a D9 bulldozer.

The al-Qassam Brigades said that its fighters shelled a gathering of soldiers and military vehicles on Baghdad Street in the al-Shujaiya neighborhood, east of Gaza City, with mortar shells.

Meanwhile, the al-Quds Brigades confirmed that its fighters eliminated a Zionist force that had been lured to a booby-trapped tunnel inside a building in the neighborhood with an unexploded F-16 missile previously fired by the occupation jets.

The Brigades said its combat engineers had worked on reusing the large missile for the operation, resulting in the building’s total collapse and killing those inside it.

The al-Quds Brigades added that its fighters targeted a gathering of military vehicles in the al-Shujaiya with mortar and anti-armor shells.
