ELN: Dissent Kills Influencers

Our fraternal and revolutionary greeting to the people of the Catatumbo region and all of Colombia, our recognition of the persistence in the struggle for the majority.

Our fraternal and revolutionary greeting to the people of the Catatumbo region and all of Colombia, our recognition of the persistence in the struggle for the majority.

The Northeast War Front Commander-in-Chief Manuel Pérez Martinez of the National Liberation Army (ELN) would like to inform the public that it regrets the death of Mr. Jorge Méndez Pardo, known as Yeiko, influencer of the Correction of the Gabarra, Municipal Jurisdiction of North Tibu of Santander, who carried out a permanent and active social work and denunciation through social networks, while being a resident concerned about the development of the region.

As he expressed it to his family, it is known that he was cited by the Dissident of Jhon Mechas on June 27th, and a day later he was found dead in the path of La Silla, Municipality of Sardinata; we clarify that our organization has no responsibility for these events, we have an active presence in the region and we have characterized ourselves as part of our political line in taking responsibility for our actions when the moment demands it.

Likewise, in the territory there have been a series of actions that seek to involve the name of the Front of War, not only in the case of deaths and detention of settlers, but also actions that violate the security and mobility of the inhabitants, such as the installation of minefields by the Dissidents under the responsibility of Jhon Mechas, who in turn carry out campaigns of discredit in order to delegitimize our revolutionary project.

Colombia. . . for workers!

Not one step back. . . liberation or death!
