Latest estimates from Gaza’s Health Ministry reveal that the death toll in the al-Mawasi camp, a so-called “designated safe zone,” has risen to 90.
According to the Ministry, “half” of the dead are women and children, and at least 300 have sustained injuries, many of which are in “critical” condition.
Earlier today, the Zionist regime claimed to have targeted a senior Hamas commander, Muhammad al-Deif, claiming he was in the area but later retracted its statements after Hamas sources confirmed he was still alive.
In a statement, the Resistance clarified that the purpose of the regimes allegations was to cover up the horrific massacre committed by the occupation in Khan Younis.
Hamas leader Sami Abu Zuhri confirmed to Reuters earlier that the report broadcast by the occupation’s Army Radio, stating that a raid on Khan Younis targeted the general commander of the al-Qassam Brigades, is “nonsense.”
He further noted that “all the martyrs are civilians,” stressing that “what is happening is a dangerous escalation of genocide amid American support and global silence,” and further noted that the massacre is a practical message from the occupation indicating that it “is not interested in any agreement.”

The Mawasi Khan Younis Massacre: Continuation of the Nazi Genocide Against Our People, and the American Administration is a Direct Partner in This Crime
We condemn in the strongest terms the horrific Mawasi Khan Younis massacre, which marks a dangerous escalation in the unprecedented series of crimes and massacres in the history of wars, being committed in the Gaza Strip by the new Nazis.
This heinous massacre, committed by the zionist occupation army, targeted the Mawasi area west of Khan Younis city, an area designated by the occupation army as “safe zones,” where citizens were encouraged to move. The occupation’s aircraft, artillery, and drones intensely and successively targeted the tents of the displaced with various types of weapons, resulting in hundreds of martyrs and wounded among innocent unarmed civilians.
The occupation’s claims of targeting leaders are false claims. This is not the first time the occupation has claimed to target Palestinian leaders, and it has later proven to be false. These false claims are merely to cover up the extent of the horrific massacre.
