On the 303rd day of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood and nearly 10 months since the start of the Zionist aggression on Gaza, the Palestinian Resistance launched a massive rocket barrage targeting Israeli settlements in the Gaza Envelope.
The al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced that its fighters launched a rocket barrage at exactly 12:08 pm on Sunday toward the Gan Yavne settlement and the occupied city of Isdud in response to the Zionist massacres committed against the Palestinian people and Resistance leaders.
The Palestinian Resistance in Gaza also launched a large rocket barrage toward the occupied city of Askalan and its surroundings, north of the Gaza Strip.
The rocket barrages were fired toward settlements in the Gaza Envelope from multiple locations in the Strip.
On its part, the al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) movement, claimed responsibility for targeting the Nahal Oz military site and the Be’eri settlement in the Gaza Envelope with rocket barrages, in cooperation with the Martyr Omar al-Qasem Forces, the military wing of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP).
The group released footage documenting the rocket launches by their Northern Brigade, which the Zionist military claimed to have dismantled during the early months of the war, on Askalan and Zionist settlements in the Gaza envelope.
Additionally, the ‘Israeli’ Army radio mentioned that the Isdud municipality ordered the opening of shelters throughout the city. Circulating footage showed settlers and soldiers rushing to shelters as rockets were launched from Gaza.
Zionist media reported a large fire breaking out at the Palmachim airbase, about 45 km north of Gaza, due to the rocket barrage from the Strip.
In addition, the Zionist Channel 13 said that at least five rockets directly hit the Gan Yavne settlement, causing damage near Isdud after the Iron Dome air defense system failed to intercept them. A rocket also landed in the Askalan area.
The Zionist Kan channel also highlighted that for the first time in seven months, rockets were launched from southern Gaza toward the Gan Yavne area and its surroundings, east of Isdud.
Resistance repels Zionist incursion attempts
In parallel, reports show heavy confrontations between Palestinian fighters and occupation forces south of the al-Zaytoun neighborhood, east of Gaza City, accompanied by Zionist artillery and airstrikes.
Our correspondent also reported fierce confrontations and artillery shelling in the al-Shoka area, east of Rafah, in the southern part of the Strip.
Moreover, the al-Quds Brigades confirmed that its fighters successfully sniped at a soldier near the Gaza Community College in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood, southwest of Gaza City.
In the same vein, the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades shelled Zionist military concentrations around the Rafah Crossing with two 107mm-type rockets.
In a joint operation, the Martyr Omar al-Qasem Forces and the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades targeted the Zionist military’s supply line at the Netzarim axis with heavy mortar shells.
In a related context, the occupation military confirmed Sunday morning that one of its soldiers was seriously injured during confrontations in the southern Gaza Strip.
Zionist media: 10,000 soldiers killed or injured in war on Gaza
Earlier on Sunday, the Zionist newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that the names of tens of thousands of Israeli soldiers are listed among the dead or wounded in the ongoing war in Gaza.
In a report, the Zionist newspaper revealed that at least 10,000 soldiers have been killed or injured during the prolonged months of combat in the Gaza Strip.
It highlighted that approximately 1,000 soldiers are added to the ranks of those physically and mentally wounded in the Zionist military’s rehabilitation department each month, according to departmental data.
Despite these staggering numbers, both the Knesset and the Zionist government have proceeded with redrafting and passing legislation to extend mandatory military service, leaving regular soldiers in a state of significant frustration, Zionist media pointed out.
Hezbollah drones maintain pressure
The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon – Hezbollah released a statement early on Monday, affirming that a drone attack it launched on a base, comes in line with its daily responses to the aggression.
Two soldiers were injured in the drone attack, which targeted the occupation forces’ 91st Division headquarters in Ayelet HaShahar, one of whom was critically injured. The occupation military confirmed that a military officer and a soldier were wounded as a result of the impact of “suspicious aircraft”, adding that several interceptor missiles were fired at the targets.
Zionist media outlets reported that military rescue helicopters rushed to the scene of the attack, nearly 10 km away from the Zionist line of withdrawal from Lebanon, to transport the casualties.
The attack occurred at around 2:20 am (local time) and saw Hezbollah’s drones surpass layers of Zionist air defenses, settlements, and military sites, before impacting the Ayelet Base.
Hezbollah’s Military Media Unit said that the attack came in response to the Zionist aggressions and assassinations conducted in the towns of al-Bazourieh, Deir Siryan, and Houla in South Lebanon, and in support of the Palestinian people.
The unit revealed that Hezbollah’s Unmanned Air Force launched a swarm of drones toward the newly set up headquarters of the 91st Division, responsible for the Northern Front with Lebanon.
Drones dove at the positions and dwelling areas of officers and soldiers in the Ayelet base, killing and injuring several.
Zionist forces fail to down Hezbollah’s drones, despite increased preparedness
It is worth noting that the main headquarters for the occupation forces’ 91st Division is the Biranit Base, located a few hundred meters from the Zionist line of withdrawal from South Lebanon. The base has been nearly completely evacuated after coming under dozens of attacks by the Resistance since October 8, 2023, and no longer serves as the division’s headquarters.
The headquarters were then moved nearly 20 km to the east and nearly 10 km away from the line of withdrawal from Lebanon.
Moreover, Zionist media outlets reported that the two injured soldiers serve in the infamous 1st Infantry Golani Brigade. Later on Monday, Zionist media said that Hezbollah’s drone operators know their way to the Golani Brigades’ training field and firing range “with their eyes closed.”
The attack is especially critical as it comes during a period of heightened Zionist military and security readiness in anticipation of a wide-scale response by Hezbollah to the assassination of commander martyr Fouad Shokor, who was assassinated in astrike on the Southern Suburbs of Beirut on July 30.
The fact that the drones were able to surpass layers of Zionist air defenses, while tensions are at an all-time high on the Northern Front, highlights the weak spots of Zionist defensive plans and Hezbollah’s advanced military knowledge and capabilities.
Yemen downs US drone again
The Yemeni Armed Forces’ air defense forces managed to shoot down an American MQ-9 drone while it was conducting hostile activities in the skies over Saada province, announced YAF spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree on Sunday.
In a televised statement, Saree confirmed that the drone was downed using a homegrown surface-to-air missile, adding that this is the seventh drone of its kind to be shot down since the start of the YAF’s military operations in support of Gaza.
The Yemeni Military Media later released footage of the wreckage of the MQ-9 drone that the Yemeni Armed Forces downed over Saada.
Additionally, the spokesperson said the YAF’s naval and missile units carried out a joint military operation targeting the ship Groton in the Gulf of Aden with several ballistic missiles, and the strike was precise.
He indicated that the ship was targeted after its owning company violated the entry ban into the ports of occupied Palestine imposed by the YAF, adding that the attack comes as part of the fourth phase of escalation concerning the maritime operations area.
On its part, the Joint Maritime Information Center (JMIC), a multinational coalition led by the US Navy, also confirmed a missile attack on the Liberian-flagged container ship – the first since the Zionist aggression that targeted the Yemeni port city of Hodeidah in mid-July.
The JMIC said the attack took place on Saturday approximately 225 kilometers (140 miles) southeast of Aden, causing minor damage to the container ship.
“All crew on board are safe,” the JMIC mentioned, adding that “the vessel was reported diverting to a port nearby.”
Saree said the YAF salute the valiant Palestinian Resistance in Gaza for 300 days of steadfastness, heroism, and sacrifice in defense of the nation, its honor, and its dignity, as well as its sanctities.
Since the YAF launched their military operations in support of the Gaza Strip amid the Israeli war, their air defenses have downed six similar reconnaissance drones.
To detail some of these operations, on May 29, YAF spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced that the air defense forces successfully shot down an MQ-9 drone while it was conducting hostile operations over Marib.
Days earlier, another drone of the same model was downed using a locally-made surface-to-air missile over al-Bayda province on May 21.
On May 17, Yemeni military media published footage of the air defenses shooting down an American MQ-9 drone over Marib on May 8.
