In Khan Younis reports state that the Resistance is engaged in fierce confrontations in response to the occupation’s incursion in the eastern areas of the city, southern Gaza Strip. This comes after an attempted incursion by the occupation forces, who had previously withdrawn from the same area a few days ago. The Palestinian Resistance continues its epic confrontations, carrying out special operations and launching rocket salvos as part of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, which has entered its 304th day.
The al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, confirmed that they engaged directly with a occupation ground force of 9 soldiers from close range, causing casualties among them in the eastern al-Farahin neighborhood of Khan Younis, which is just a few dozen meters away from the 1948 occupied Palestinian territories where the occupation forces are stationed.
In eastern al-Farahin, the al-Qassam Brigades detonated an anti-personnel device against an occupation force that had fortified itself inside a building, causing definite casualties among its members. Confrontations in the area remain ongoing as the occupation forces have not withdrawn.
In the same region, the al-Qassam Brigades targeted a occupation military bulldozer of the D9 type with an al-Yasin 105 missile.
In eastern Rafah, also in the southern part of the Strip, the al-Qassam Brigades detonated two anti-personnel and anti-vehicle devices against an engineering occupation force in the Zalatah area, causing definite casualties.
The al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades bombarded the occupation soldiers and their advancing vehicles in eastern Rafah with heavy mortar shells.
The forces of martyr Omar al-Qassem, the military wing of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, targeted a gathering of occupation soldiers and their vehicles around the Rafah crossing with heavy mortar shells.
Joint Operations
In the context of cooperation between various military wings of Palestinian Resistance factions, the Al-Mujahideen Brigades, the military wing of the Mujahideen Movement, along with the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, targeted the Re’im settlement with a rocket barrage earlier today.
The al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades and the forces of martyr Omar Al-Qassem shelled the Zionist supply line in the Netzarim axis, southwestern Gaza City, with heavy mortar shells.
In another joint operation, the forces of martyr Omar al-Qassem, the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, and the al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, targeted occupation positions in Nahal Oz with a rocket barrage.
In a second joint operation between the forces of martyr Omar al-Qassem and the al-Quds Brigades, they shelled the Be’eri settlement, the eastern Gaza Strip, with a rocket barrage.
The three operations achieved confirmed hits.
Rockets still launch toward Gaza Envelope
Earlier, Zionist media reported a severe incident involving occupation soldiers in Rafah.
According to details provided by Zionist media, 7 soldiers were injured in the incident due to an explosion in Rafah, including 2 soldiers with very serious injuries, 4 others with serious injuries, and 1 soldier with moderate injuries.
Simultaneously, Zionist media reported the launch of 15 rockets toward the Gaza Envelope 304 days into the war on Gaza.
Zionist media noted that two injuries resulted from the recent rocket barrages from Gaza toward the Envelope which landed in Eshkol and the other in Re’im.
In turn, Yedioth Ahronoth pointed out that the Resistance in the Gaza Strip managed to launch about 60 rockets over the past 4 days toward the Gaza Envelope, at medium distances, as occurred yesterday with the rocket attack targeting Ashdod.
The latest barrage of rockets was launched from Khan Younis, which the occupation forces had withdrawn from just a week ago.
US forces injured by Iraqi Resistance
Several American personnel were injured in a rocket attack that targeted United States forces in the Ain al-Assad Airbase, Iraq, on Monday, a US Department of Defense spokesperson said.
“There was a suspected rocket attack today against US and coalition forces at Al-Asad Airbase, Iraq. Initial indications are that several US personnel were injured,” the spokesperson explained.
The Ain al-Assad Airbase is a strategic military site established by US forces following their invasion of Iraq, located in the western al-Anbar Governorate.
Recently, amidst the Zionist war on Gaza, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq has targeted the Ain al-Assad site on multiple occasions, injuring 2 US troops in an attack in January 2024. Back then, a Pentagon spokesperson said that the two soldiers suffered “traumatic brain injuries,” which can range from serious brain damage to concussions.
US-Zionist escalation threatens systematic strikes on US bases
However, the recent Zionist and US escalations in Lebanon, Iran, and Iraq, threaten the resumption of systematic operations against American military presence in the region.
On July 31, US aircraft raided a grouping of Popular Mobilization Forces troops, which it claimed to be an action of “self-defense,” a US official told Reuters on the conditions of anonymity at the time.
Four of the Iraqi government’s PMF troops were killed in the strike, according to reports.
US military convoys monitored
As the region is pushed into a state of escalation, via US and ZionistĀ assassinations of Resistance leaders and fighters, Washington is readying up its forces to mitigate the effects of the Resistance’s retaliations.
US military convoys were spotted at the Arar border crossing between Iraq and Saudi Arabia. Reports state that the reports indicate that the military movements come in the context of preparation to counter the anticipated Iranian response to the Zionist assassination of martyr Ismail Haniyeh in northern Tehran, Iran.
