Al-Qassam Fiercely Engages Zionist Forces in Rafah, Deals Casualties

Palestinian Resistance factions conducted a series of operations targeting Zionist occupation forces across the Gaza Strip on the 309th day of the war on Gaza.

Hamas’ al-Qassam Brigades launched a salvo of 107 mm rocket artillery shells at positions of invading occupation forces to the east of Khan Younis at 6:02 pm (local time) on Saturday. Al-Qassam said the rockets resulted in a fire breaking out in the targeted area.

In the southernmost city of the Gaza Strip, Rafah, the al-Qassam fighters fired a locally-produced tandem rocket-propelled grenade (RPG), al-Yassin, at a military-grade D9 bulldozer.

Its forces also fiercely engaged occupation forces in the Tal al-Sultan neighborhood in western Rafah.

On Saturday, occupation forces garrisoned themselves in the Indonesian Hospital in the same neighborhood, where al-Qassam Resistance fighters fired an anti-personnel RPG and a thermobaric RPG at the Zionist force. Zionist military rescue helicopters landed in the area to evacuate the killed and wounded soldiers.

Al-Qassam fighters also sniped at a soldier in the village of al-Soweida to the southwest of Tal al-Sultan.

Other Palestinian Resistance factions participated in attacks on occupation forces, including the al-Mujahideen Brigades and the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades.

The al-Mujahideen Brigades fired two Haseb-111 rockets at the strategic Netzarim Axis, targeting Zionist forces occupying an area splitting the northern Gaza Strip from the rest of the besieged territory.

The al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades shelled the Zionist occupation armored and infantry forces in the Yibna refugee camp in Rafah with 60mm mortar rounds.

Al-Qassam Brigades’ Military Media Unit also released footage of an operation targeting 9 occupation soldiers in Tal al-Sultan, Rafah, on Friday.

The attack resulted in several casualties among the force, confirmed by the arrival of a Zionist rescue helicopter to transport the killed and wounded soldiers.

Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s (PIJ) military wing in the West Bank, al-Quds Brigades – West Bank, called for a mobilization in the occupied territory against the backdrop of a Zionist-executed massacre that killed at least 93 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip on Saturday.

“It is time to send the enemy a powerful message, letting the world know that Palestinian blood is not taken lightly by [fellow] Palestinians and that Arabs do not take lightly the harm done to their fellow Arabs,” the statement read.

The Resistance faction urged Palestinians, especially those in the West Bank, as well as Arabs and free people around the world, to participate in protests against the continued massacres of Palestinians.

“This mobilization is the least moral and religious duty we can fulfill toward the pure blood of our brothers that has been shed as they are besieged in Gaza and who suffer under the oppression and fire of this ruthless enemy,” the military wing added.

Al-Quds Brigades – West Bank called for protests at 8:00 pm (local) time on Saturday.

It also called on the citizens of Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, and Yemen, as well as Palestinians around the world to participate in similar demonstrations.

The Brigades explained that the Zionist massacre, which killed dozens of Palestinians in the Al-Tabieen School in Gaza City’s al-Daraj neighborhood, is also a direct attack on Islamic rituals. The strike targeted a large group of Palestinians who were performing morning prayers on Saturday.

Final toll yet to be released by authorities

The attack on the school, which hosted displaced Palestinians, created such havoc that authorities are yet to release the full death toll that the strike resulted in.

“Due to the enormity of the massacre and the rising number of victims, medical and civil defense teams have not yet been able to retrieve all the bodies,” the government’s Media Office in Gaza said in a statement.

The Media Office held both the Zionist regime and the US administration responsible, pointing out that the occupation army launched a direct attack on the school, where many displaced individuals who had sought refuge were performing morning prayers, which led to a massive number of martyrs.

More than 300 people were present at the time of the bombing, the Media Office added.

It condemned this “horrific massacre in the strongest terms and [called] on the entire world to condemn it.” It also demanded that the international community and international organizations put pressure on the occupation to stop the genocide and ethnic cleansing in Gaza.

The massacre also led to international condemnation, as multiple governments, organizations, and political parties denounced the strike.
