The Occupation’s Decision Against Al-Mayadeen is a Continuation of Its Attempt to Obscure Its Crimes: PFLP

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) affirmed that the occupation government’s decision to extend and escalate its measures against Al-Mayadeen Channel and close its offices in occupied Palestine represents a new crime committed by the occupation to silence any voice that conveys the truth about its crimes and the atrocities it commits against our people.

The Front clarified that the policy of preventing press coverage and restricting it to the occupation’s media and those entities that support its crimes is part of the aggression strategy and a fundamental pillar in the tools of the genocide war against our people.

The Front emphasized that Al-Mayadeen Channel has been one of the honest and serious media outlets in its coverage, exposing the crimes of the occupation and the dimensions of its war to exterminate our people. It has provided a truthful portrayal of the steadfastness of our people, their legitimate struggle, and their resistance against aggression.

The Front asserted that targeting Al-Mayadeen will not silence the voice of truth and expressed confidence in the ability of colleagues at Al-Mayadeen, along with all journalists of conscience, to continue the honest mission of conveying the true picture and exposing the crimes of the occupation.

The Front called on international and Arab press bodies and organizations concerned with protecting journalists to confront the occupation’s crimes against journalists in Palestine, hundreds of whom have been killed or injured by the occupation who also arrested, or tortured others.
