The Palestinian Resistance continues its operations across various battlefronts in Gaza, fighting the invasion of the Israeli occupation army for over 310 consecutive days.
Wednesday’s operations were focused in the city of Khan Younis, where the Zionists have launched its fourth brutal military attack since October, in addition to Rafah and the Netzarim axis.
In Khan Younis, the military media of al-Quds Brigades released footage showing the launch of Ababil shells toward a Zionist army command post north of the governorate in the southern Gaza Strip.
Al-Quds Brigades also announced in a statement shelling soldiers positioned along the supply line at the Netzarim axis using mortar shells.
For their part, the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades said their fighters bombarded a gathering of soldiers and vehicles with heavy mortar shells in the Al-Zanna area east of Khan Younis.
In a separate statement, the Brigades said that they also shelled with mortars Zionist forces positioned at the supply line in the Netzarim axis.
The axis was also struck with mortar shells by the National Resistance Brigades, the military wing of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine.
Additionally, the group announced shelling soldiers and military vehicles advancing near the Rafah border crossing.
Also targeting the Netzarim axis were the Mujahideen Brigades and the al-Asifah Forces – the military wing of Fatah al-Intifada movement.
On Tuesday, al-Qassam targeted Tel Aviv with two M90 rockets for the first time since May.
The Resistance group said that the launch was in response to the massacres carried out by Zionist against Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip,
Following the launch, al-Qassam’s Military Media published footage of its fighters preparing the rockets and scenes documenting the targeting.
In the video, one Resistance fighter recites a poem verse, saying: “Soldiers who have faith and patience, are not weak or defenseless in war. If you engage in war, do not let it lead to failure. Be patient with its horrors, for there is no death except at the appointed time.”
On Wednesday, Hamas announced that it would not participate in the upcoming round of Gaza ceasefire talks scheduled for Thursday in Qatar, stating that a proposal already exists on the table, and all it requires is implementation.
An official familiar with the discussions mentioned that mediators still plan to consult with the Palestinian Resistance movement afterward, Reuters reported.
Hamas said earlier this week that it had already accepted in June the ceasefire proposal put forward by US President Joe Biden, whose national security advisor later revealed that it was in fact a Zionist proposal. The group said it would only attend the talks if the discussions were regarding the implementation process.
Washington considered that a ceasefire agreement remains possible, and warned that swift progress is necessary to prevent the war from escalating further.
Meanwhile, Axios reported that US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has delayed his trip to the Middle East, which was initially expected to start on Tuesday.
Reuters claimed that three Iranian officials said that Iran’s direct retaliation against the Zionist regime for assassinating Hamas’ politburo chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran can only be held back if a ceasefire in Gaza is reached.
The Zionist delegation to the ceasefire talks in Doha consists of Mossad chief David Barnea, the head of Shin Bet Ronen Bar, and the head of the Prisoners of War and Missing Persons Center, Nitzan Alon, Zionist reports said.
“‘Israel’ will send the negotiations team on the agreed upon date, that’s tomorrow August 15th, in order to finalise the details of the implementation of the framework agreement,” Zionist government spokesperson David Mencer told reporters.
Zionist media reported earlier this week that Security Minister Yoav Gallant accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of sabotaging the ceasefire talks.
“The reason a hostage deal is stalling is in part because” of the regime, Gallant said in a private briefing for a parliamentary committee on Monday.
“I and the defense establishment support the [ceasefire] option” to prevent a military escalation with Hezbollah, rather than talk of ‘total victory’ and all that nonsense,” the security minister said referring to Netanyahu’s constantly repeated phrase.
Hamas politburo member Osama Hamdan said on Wednesday that the Resistance group “informed the mediators that … any meeting should be based on talking about implementation mechanisms and setting deadlines rather than negotiating something new… otherwise, Hamas finds no reason to participate.”
In a similar context, Senior Hamas official Sami Abu Zuhriv told Reuters: “Going to new negotiations allows the occupation to impose new conditions and employ the maze of negotiation to conduct more massacres.”
“Hamas is committed to the proposal presented to it on July 2, which is based on the U.N. Security Council resolution and the Biden speech and the movement is prepared to immediately begin discussion over a mechanism to implement it,” Abu Zuhri added.
