IN SANTIAGO, CHILE, THE SUPREME COURT ORDERED THE IMMEDIATE RELEASE OF FACUNDO JONES HUALA, ACCEPTING THE APPEAL FOR PROTECTION

The protection filed by María Isabel, mother of Facundo Jones Huala, was accepted on August 16, 2024, by the Supreme Court ordering the immediate release of Francisco Facundo Jones Huala. He considered that the time he was detained in Argentina for an extradition process should be paid to the fulfillment of the measure, so he would have served the entire sentence last June.
