The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine described the incursions by Ben Gvir, who is labeled as the Minister of National Security in the “israeli” fascist state, and his threats to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque and build the Temple on its ruins, as an open call for a full-scale war against our people in occupied Al-Quds and the West Bank.
The Democratic Front stated that Al-Aqsa Mosque goes beyond being a mosque with special significance for our people, and for Arabs and Muslims in general. It also stands as one of the most important national symbols of Palestine and a key element of the national identity of the city of Al-Quds, the capital of the Palestinian state.
The Democratic Front warned Ben Gvir about the dangers of his actions and provocations against our people and their political forces, affirming that our people in Al-Quds and the West Bank, despite the reluctance of the Palestinian Authority and the complicity of some of its factions, will not hesitate to confront, by all means and methods, the projects of displacement, settlement, and annexation. Their steadfastness will not be less than the legendary steadfastness of our people in the Gaza Strip.
In the same context, the Democratic Front called on the Arab and Islamic worlds to shoulder their responsibilities toward the sanctities of Palestine, especially Al-Aqsa Mosque. It emphasized that statements of condemnation, denunciation, and protest do not meet the necessities of the battle to defend Al-Quds and its significance, and the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque and its place in the religious consciousness of Muslims worldwide.
