The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) has announced the martyrdom of three of its cadres, two of which are leaders. The martyrs are Mohammed Abdel Aal, Imad Awda, and Abdul Rahman Abdel Aal. They ascended to martyrdom after the Zionist occupation targeted a residential apartment in Cola, located in the capital Beirut.
In a statement, the PFLP expressed deep pride in their fallen members, emphasizing their commitment to the path of armed resistance. The group vowed to honor the sacrifices of these leaders and all martyrs of the Palestinian and Arab nations by continuing the fight until the Israeli occupation is eradicated.
Zionist airstrike hits Beirut Cola area
Earlier at midnight on Sunday, a Zionist airstrike targeted a multi-story residential building in the Cola area of Beirut. This marks the first attack on the capital since the beginning of the war.
Initial reports indicate that it was a drone strike and not an air raid from fighter jets. Other reports also indicated that an unexploded missile remains in the targeted apartment.
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement stated that the “heinous crime” committed by the occupation forces represents a dangerous escalation in the ongoing aggression, underscoring the “enemy’s determination to target all Resistance forces wherever they exist, disregarding humanitarian laws and the sanctity of civilians.”
Expressing full solidarity with the Popular Front and all Resistance factions, the PIJ emphasized that “this criminal attack will not deter the resolve of the fighters but will instead strengthen their commitment to continue the struggle until the liberation of Palestine.”
They added, “The targeting of our comrades in the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine is part of the enemy’s ongoing attempts to weaken Resistance forces, but the blood of the martyrs will serve as fuel for our steadfastness and resilience in the face of this aggression.”
