Martyr Izz El-Din Al-Qassam Brigades Spokesman Abu Obeida Speech on the One Year Anniversary of Al-Aqsa Flood

A year has passed since the most professional and successful commando operation in modern times, all thanks be to Allah, which targeted a criminal military division, reinforced with all combat and intelligence systems. It was an operation that shook the zionist enemy and changed the face of the region, in which we struck the enemy with a massive premptive strike as the enemy’s plans for a big strike against the resistance in Gaza with all its factions reached its final stages.

After the agression on Al-Aqsa reached an unprecedented dangerous stage, and after the enemy went too far with its settlements, judaization, agression against prisoners, violation of all taboos, and the complete siege imposed on Gaza.. After all this, the decision was made to conduct the strategic historic attack against the Gaza Division and its military garrisons, and its abhorrent settlement envelope that is weighing on the heart of our people, besieging us, and committing against us for decades all crimes known to nations.

Today, the summary of the reality in the region after a year of Al-Aqsa Floor is as follows: a Palestinian nation that is a legend in all stories of heroism, and Gaza that does not shy away from the greatness of our people who teaces the world the meaning of dignity, love of the land, longing for freedom, fighting the occupiers, and legendary steadfastness despite those close to us letting us down and the cowardice and collusion of regimes.

Despite the brutality of the enemy and the forces of oppression and crime behind them, headed by the American administration and some Western governments, we salute our great people, the support, backer and advocate whose sacrifices will not be in vain, Allah willing. Allah would not let your faith, patience and steadfastness go to waste, O our people, O crown of our heads.

As for the surroundings of Palestine, there are burning fronts fighting alongside our people and supporting them, and cutting off the enemy’s hope of remaining stable. Fronts are fighting the enemy directly today, engaging with it, inflicting heavy losses on it, and dealing it painful blows from the great Lebanon, from the free, fighting Yemen, and from the Iraq of civilization and glory.

The drones and missiles of Lebanon, Yemen and Iraq are flying in the skies of occupied Palestine, striking important sites and targets of the enemy, draining its security and defensive capabilities, disrupting its balance, and inflicting heavy economic and military losses on it. It also imposes displacement on it and closes its seaports almost completely.

The Islamic Republic of Iran is clashing with the zionist enemy, and has directed the True Promise strikes 1 and 2 at it, and dozens of ballistic missiles are raining down on the enemy’s bases in a historical precedent, breaking the rules that the enemy has long established with the peoples and countries of the region, that they are far from punishment and exempt from accountability for their crimes.

The hero Maher Al-Jazi ignites the fuse of an authentic Jordanian Arab front, emotionally, historically and geographically united with our country and our people, and the zionist entity lives in the world as a brutal, murderous, criminal entity, rejected by all the nations of the world and their free peoples, an entity that only thinks of building walls, fences and buffer zones.

This entity depends only on the American-made and directed air force, and is only held together by the familiar American administrations’ ropes, which will be cut no matter how long it takes, just as it depends on European colonial ropes that are rejected even by their own people, and on incapable normalizing regimes that do not represent the conscience of our nation in any way.

Anyone who looks at this situation realizes that the outcome for our people, our nation, and our resistance is facing an entity whose total lifespan is less than the lifespan of the shoes of the mosques and churches of Gaza, Al-Quds, Bethlehem, Al-Khalil, and Yaffa. This entity has not lived a single year without resistance and fighting, reminding it at every attempt at stability that it is stealing Arab land.

O our people and our nation! O all the free people of the world! A whole year and we are still fighting in an unequal battle against a criminal enemy, devoid of all human values and even animal nature. A year crowned with heroism and sacrifices.

Our fighters and resistance fighters from all factions continue their steadfastness and heroic fighting with solid determination, in every inch of the Gaza Strip wherever there are enemy soldiers, vehicles or military gatherings, they face an unprecedented heroic fight.

All thanks to Allah, we have continuously developed our tactics, combat formations, and methods of work, in a manner consistent with the current circumstances and all possible scenarios ahead of us.

With Allah’s help and strength, our decision and choice is to continue the confrontation, in a long, painful and extremely costly battle of attrition for the enemy as long as it insists on continuing the aggression.

O our people! O our nation! The battle continues and the enemy is suffering losses day after day. What honors our resistance, our movement, and our brigades in this battle, and throughout its journey, is that it is offering martyrs from among its leaders before its soldiers.

The zionist celebration of the assassination of the leaders of our movement and the resistance, headed by the great fighter leader Ismail Haniyeh, may Allah have mercy on him, is the greatest evidence of the enemy’s arrogance.

The enemy’s joy at the assassination of our leaders, including the martyr leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, is an illusory and temporary joy. When were assassinations the end of the road for liberation and resistance movements? The history of our Palestinian and Arab revolutions is full of examples that prove otherwise. Its joy will turn to regret.

If assassinations were a victory, the resistance would have ended with the assassination of Sheikh Izz al-Din al-Qassam 90 years ago. However, the resistance continued and grew stronger. If brutality, house demolitions, and revenge had stopped the resistance, the heroes of Gaza would not have humiliated the enemy in every street and alley after every war.

The heroes in the West Bank today are rising up and fighting, despite all the enemy’s attempts to break them since Operation Defensive Shield 22 years ago. The policy of assassinations against our leaders is a good ending and a sign of victory for us, and regret and disappointment for the aggressors. Allah Almighty promised victory for the free, and Allah’s victory is coming.

We in the Al-Qassam Brigades work with the will of Allah, and His eye watches over us. A leader is succeeded by ten, and a soldier is succeeded by a thousand resistance fighters. This land produces resistance fighters as it produces olives, and it bequeaths to generations the love of resistance as we inherited it from generations of prophets, righteous people, and fighters who sacrificed their blood.

O our people and our nation! O free people of the world! We in the Izz El-Din Al-Qassam Brigades confirm, one year after the Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood and the zionist aggression, that the operations taking place today in the region, and the participation of the fronts of Yemen and Lebanon in particular, are honorable and appreciated positions from our people and their conscience.

Despite the extent of our sacrifices and zionist crimes against the peoples of the region, the escalating Iraqi resistance operations and effective participation in the battle are evidence of the unity of the resistance on all fronts. We salute all the resistance forces in the region, and our free brotherly peoples.

Today we say to our brothers, the fighters in Hezbollah in Lebanon, that we are confident in your steadfastness and courage in inflicting heavy and painful losses on the zionist enemy forces, as the martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah promised in his usual stances. We are betting on your bravery and strength in the battle.

We have exhausted this defeated army in Gaza over the course of a whole year after its humiliating defeat on October 7, and we have deprived it of a large percentage of its capabilities on the ground, and we have killed its alleged elite forces by the hundreds. Our face-to-face engagement with its soldiers has proven the failure of their aircraft, tanks, and intelligence.

We are certain that you in Hezbollah will complete the mission with efficiency and competence if the enemy dares to commit foolish acts on Lebanese soil.

We cannot miss blessing the efforts of the blessed Yemeni Front led by Ansarallah, and we value the million-strong popular movement of our free people in generous Yemen, and the sincere chants and calls of the people of Yemen to Allah and to Al-Aqsa raise heads and bear witness to them.

We appreciate all the popular movements of brotherly and friendly peoples around the world, who have not stopped supporting us for a whole year in all continents and countries without exception, in support of our just cause.

What is happening today in the West Bank and occupied Al-Quds in terms of war and barbaric aggression, especially the Tulkarem massacre, confirms that the enemy’s crimes in Gaza are no exception. It is a systematic policy practiced everywhere our people are present, as the occupation seeks to displace us and kill our identity through slow methods of extermination.

Our decision to ignite the Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood was a cry in the face of the enemy and the silent, conspiratorial, or helpless world in the face of the oppression of our people. The current occupation government, with its terrorist hatred, does not want to see a Palestinian west of the Jordan River. This is what Netanyahu expressed in his maps that he presented to the world.

Our people and our struggling youth from all walks of life understood that this enemy only understands the language of force, and that weapons can only be confronted with weapons. In the West Bank, from Jenin to Nablus, our resistance fighters taught the enemy harsh lessons, reminding us that our people will not retreat until their full rights are restored.

The recent Yaffa operation and the heroic operations that preceded it by our fighters in the West Bank are only an episode of what is to come. All targets in our occupied land are permissible in response to the genocide of our people. Greetings to the Mujahideen and fighters of our heroic people in Jenin, Tulkarem, Nablus, and all the cities.

O resistance fighters in the West Bank! Your operations have shaken the enemy’s entity, and we call on you to escalate them in response to the arrogance of the enemy’s Nazi government. The hopes and dignity of our people have always been synonymous with the muzzles of guns and the strikes of the sacred response against the settler herds and occupation soldiers. We are confident that the resistance will continue to escalate its strikes.

Regarding the issue of the enemy’s prisoners and the exchange, we say to the occupation public and their families that they could have recovered their prisoners alive a year ago. If that was in line with Netanyahu’s ambitions and interests, the deal would have been done. We were keen from the first day to protect the prisoners and preserve their lives.

It is unreasonable to intend to kill or harm prisoners, as this is not part of the teachings of our religion. Our humanitarian goal in detaining prisoners is to exchange them for our prisoners and for the rights of our people. What happened with the six prisoners in Rafah may be repeated as long as the Netanyahu government is stubborn and places obstacles in the way of the exchange deal.

We have clear instructions for all groups tasked with guarding prisoners: entering any combat zone exposes prisoners to the danger of cross fire, and this is what happened in previous cases and may be repeated in the future. The fate of the enemy’s prisoners is tied to the actions of their government, so the longer it persists, the greater the risks to the prisoners.

After a number of enemy prisoners were killed by their army’s fire or by their government, the situation of the remaining prisoners has become very difficult. We do not rule out that their file will enter a dark tunnel, perhaps creating dozens of new “Ron Arads”, which would be the greatest evidence of the enemy’s strategic and moral failure in its history.

On the occasion of the first anniversary of the Battle Al-Aqsa Flood, we call for the greatest Islamic, Arab and international solidarity with the Palestinian people, and we demand military, financial and logistical support for the resistance, and popular demonstrations and protests, and a boycott of the enemy and its allies everywhere.

We call for launching the largest Arab, Islamic and international media campaign to support the Palestinian people and their resistance, and to confront the misleading zionist-American lying machine. We also urge launching the largest cyber attack on the zionist entity by all electronic warfare experts and resistance supporters.

The zionists must understand that they are outcasts from the entire free world, and that the umbrella of shame provided to them by the American administration and some Western European governments is a perforated umbrella.

We also call on the elites and scholars of the [Islamic] nation to go beyond shy verbal and heartfelt solidarity, except for those whom my Lord has mercy on. We say to our scholars and preachers of our [Islamic] nation: Are you waiting for a morning when you wake up to the news of the demolition of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, may Allah forbid?

As we bid farewell to the month of the birth of our noble Prophet, prayers and peace be upon him, upholding the month is done through upholding the place of his Night Journey and Ascension to heaven, which the scum of the earth defile every day and try to destroy and Judaize. The least to be done is to mobilize the scholars of the [Islamic] nation to clarify the truth of the conflict, and to clarify the legitimacy and sanctity of our battle and the obligation of jihad to defend our Al-Aqsa and our holy land, far from the sectarian discourses that divide the nation.

This is what is expected of you, O descendants of Al-Izz bin Abdul Salam, Ahmad bin Hanbal, Ibn Taymiyyah, and other working and fighting scholars of Islam. They were role models for the nation throughout the ages with their courageous stances on major issues. Today, we need similar courage from you in confronting injustice and aggression.

In conclusion, we salute the souls of our righteous martyrs who ascended in the greatest battle for the sake of Allah’s religion and His Prophet, and for our just cause known to history. We ask for healing for the wounded, freedom for the heroic prisoners in the occupation’s prisons, and salute to our patient people and the heroic fighters on all fronts.

Do not weaken in the face of the enemies, for you know, and they know, and you hope from Allah what they do not hope for. And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise. It is a jihad of victory or martyrdom.
