On Thursday, October 17, 2024, in different emblematic high schools in the communes of Providencia and Santiago in the territory dominated by the Chilean state, during the commemoration of the Social Outbreak that occurred on October 18, 2019, the date on which the Chilean state and its repressive apparatus detained, tortured, they mutilated, raped, abused and murdered thousands of residents who were demonstrating throughout the territory. A revolt that initially began after the call for evasion by high school students after the increase in public transport fares, which germinated in the outbreak of anger of thousands of residents.
It is in this context of commemoration that anarchic hooded individuals come out of the premises of their respective high schools to block the streets with fire, spread banners and slogans and confront police repression.
These events occurred at the Tajamar Girls’ High School, José Victorino Lastarria High School and Manuel Barros Borgoño High School.
