A senior leader of the Hamas movement, Mahmoud Muradawi, confirmed that the opening of the “Sanur” settlement south of Jenin city in the occupied West Bank, with official support from the extremist Zionist occupation government, represents a dangerous escalation of Judaization targeting our people in the West Bank and the Palestinian presence everywhere. This calls for a widespread mobilization to confront the settlement expansion plans.
Muradawi pointed out on Sunday evening that this opening, and the presence of settler leaders and officials of the Zionist occupation government at the event, confirms that we are facing an unprecedented phase of settlement expansion, which is part of the so-called plan of annexation and full control over the West Bank and Palestinian land.
The Hamas leader renewed the warning about the repercussions and dangers of settlement projects in the north of the West Bank, and the revival of previously evacuated settlement outposts, calling for escalating popular anger and all forms of resistance to thwart these projects and protect our land from the crimes of the occupation and its settlers.
