Iran has delivered a 14-point proposal setting out its terms for ending the war, according to Iran’s Fars News Agency, as indirect exchanges with the United States continue through Pakistan, which continues to act as a mediator.
The report, citing informed sources, said message exchanges between Tehran and Washington have been taking place via Islamabad, despite the continued Iranian distrust of the US.
According to Fars, the diplomatic channel was activated following internal decision-making procedures and the approval of relevant Iranian authorities.
The agency said Tehran’s proposal presents a “clear roadmap” to end an “imposed war” and asserts Iran’s “red lines” within the framework of any potential agreement.
It added that the Iranian document is in response to the US nine-point proposal.
Iran’s decision to continue engagement through Pakistan signals Tehran’s determination and confidence in pursuing its national interests despite ongoing tensions with the United States, as per the report.
Tasnim confirms Iran’s 14-point proposal
Tasnim News Agency also reported, citing informed sources, that Iran has submitted a response via Pakistani mediation to a nine-point US proposal, with Tehran’s reply primarily focused on securing a complete end to the war.
According to the sources, Washington’s proposal outlined a two-month ceasefire, while Iran argued that all key issues should be addressed within 30 days, emphasizing the importance of pursuing a comprehensive settlement rather than extending a temporary truce.
The Iranian proposal reportedly includes demands for guarantees against future military action, the withdrawal of US forces from areas near Iran, the lifting of the maritime blockade, the unfreezing of Iranian assets, and compensation payments. It also calls for an end to hostilities across all fronts, including Lebanon, as well as the establishment of a new framework for managing the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran is reportedly waiting for the official response from the United States regarding these proposals.
Iran submitted proposal to permanently end US-Zionist war: Deputy FM
Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, Kazem Gharib Abadi, announced earlier today that Iran has submitted an official proposal aimed at bringing a permanent end to the US-Israeli-imposed war.
Gharib Abadi said the proposal was delivered to Pakistan, which is acting as a mediator in the process.
During a briefing in Tehran for resident foreign ambassadors on the contents of the initiative, the deputy FM stated that “the ball is now in the American court” regarding the choice between pursuing diplomacy or continuing the war.
However, he stressed that Tehran has consistently maintained its “pessimism and lack of trust” toward the United States and its sincerity in any proposed diplomatic process.
Final draft delivered
The diplomatic outreach coincided with Tehran submitting an updated proposal to end the war through Pakistani mediation. Iran’s official news agency reported that a final draft of the negotiation framework was delivered to Islamabad, which has conveyed it to Washington.
The move follows an earlier Iranian proposal sent last week outlining Tehran’s conditions for ending the war, also transmitted via Pakistan.
In parallel, US media reports citing Pakistani officials indicated that Islamabad had delivered a revised Iranian response to recent US conditions. The officials expressed optimism that an agreement may now be closer following Tehran’s latest submission.
