Hamas and Palestinian Resistance Factions Condemn Assassination of Azzam Al-Hayya

Hamas:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
The cowardly “israeli” crime that targeted Azzam Al-Hayya, the son of the movement’s leader in the Gaza Strip and head of the negotiation delegation, Brother Fighter Dr. Khalil Al-Hayya, represents a continuation of the occupation’s approach of targeting civilians and the families of Palestinian leaders, as part of its failed attempts to influence the will of the resistance and its political positions through terror, killing, and psychological pressure.
The contradiction and confusion that accompanied the “israeli” narrative regarding the targeting operation reveal the scale of the turmoil the occupation government is experiencing. They also clearly reflect that this crime came within the framework of attempts to exert pressure on the resistance leadership and its negotiating delegation, after the occupation failed to impose its conditions or achieve its declared goals.
Dr. Khalil Al-Hayya and the negotiating delegation had previously been subjected to a wicked assassination attempt in Doha, during which a number of martyrs from our people and the dear Qatari people ascended, including his son, the martyr Hammam Al-Hayya, in a crime that confirms the occupation’s insistence on targeting everyone who adheres to the rights and national constants of our people.
The movement confirms that our Palestinian people, who have offered tens of thousands of martyrs, will not allow the occupation to turn the blood of sons and families into a tool for political blackmail, and that these crimes will not push the Palestinian negotiator to retreat from his constants or abandon the rights of our people to stop the aggression, end the siege, and fully withdraw from the Gaza Strip.
Furthermore, targeting the children of Palestinian leaders will not lead to weakening the position of the resistance, but will rather increase its adherence to the rights of our people and its determination to wrest them, and will deepen the popular support around it, as it pays the same cost of confrontation alongside its people, and offers from its own sons and families just as our people’s sons offer everywhere in the Gaza Strip.
The occupation’s resort to this type of crime confirms its compound crisis and its inability to break the will of our people or achieve a political or field achievement, so it resorts to a policy of revenge and attempts to spread fear by targeting families and civilians.
The blood of the martyrs, no matter how great the sacrifices, will remain the fuel for our people’s steadfastness and resilience, and a motivation to continue defending their legitimate national rights until freedom is attained and the occupation is ended.

Resistance factions exalt the martyrdom of Azzam Khalil Al-Hayya and Hamza Al-Sharbasi, who were targeted in zionist airstrikes on Gaza, and extend their condolences to Hamas and Dr. Khalil Al-Hayya.

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine mourned the martyrdom of Azzam Khalil Al-Hayya, the fourth son of Dr. Khalil Al-Hayya to be killed, alongside field commander Hamza Al-Sharbasi and Palestinian police officers martyred in “israeli” strikes in Gaza. The  PFLP emphasized that the repeated loss of Al-Hayya’s sons reflects how resistance leaders endure the same suffering as the Palestinian people. The PFLP highlighted the IOF’s sabotage of ceasefire efforts through assassinations and bombardment, and reaffirmed its commitment to continuing the struggle until the occupation ends.
The Palestinian Mujahideen Movement and its military wing, the Mujahideen Brigades, extended condolences to Khalil Al-Hayya and Hamas, while asserting that “israeli” assassination policies would not break the resolve of resistance fighters or leadership.
The PFLP-GC offered condolences to Hamas and the Al-Hayya family over the martyrdom of Azzam Al-Hayya. They honored the broader population of martyrs, including civilians and fighters, who it said continue to confront “israeli” attacks with steadfastness.
Fatah Al-Intifada sent condolences to Khalil Al-Hayya and Hamas. They condemned the strikes as violations of the declared ceasefire and stated that immense sacrifices are part of the Palestinian struggle for liberation and return. The statement concluded by honoring all Palestinian martyrs and reaffirming commitment to the revolutionary struggle until victory.
The Popular Resistance Committees exalted Azzam Al-Hayya as a steadfast fighter who followed the path of resistance and sacrifice alongside his martyred brothers. They described him as deeply committed to the Palestinian cause and the suffering of Gaza’s people. In its condolences to Khalil Al-Hayya, Hamas, and the Al-Qassam Brigades, the PRC vowed to continue resistance until the defeat of the entity and the liberation of Palestine and Al-Quds.

The Palestinian Islamic Jihad condemned the continued zionist escalation and assassination campaign targeting resistance leaders and cadres in Gaza, including the strike that targeted Al-Qassam commander Hamza Al-Sharbasi and Azzam Khalil Al-Hayya, son of Hamas leader Khalil Al-Hayya. The movement stated that these attacks are intended to impose “israeli” conditions on Gaza, evade ceasefire obligations, obstruct reconstruction efforts, and continue the war on the Gaza Strip. The PIJ affirmed that the crimes of the occupation will only strengthen the resolve and steadfastness of the resistance.
