The German Federal Court of Justice (BGH) has confirmed the early release on probation of anti-fascist activist Lina E. after rejecting an appeal from the federal prosecutor’s office. Sentenced in 2023 to five years and three months in prison for actions against fascists between 2018 and 2020, she had already served two thirds of her sentence. The judges considered that her behavior in detention, her reintegration project and psychological expertise justified a “good prospect of reintegration”, while her political convictions remained intact.
