The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine warns against policies of aggression and forced displacement targeting refugee camps in the occupied West Bank, as part of a Zionist strategy aimed at dismantling the camps, reshaping the demographic reality, seizing the vast majority of the land in the West Bank, and confining its population in isolated enclaves, as part of the open implementation of an annexation project, after it has been carried out for years in a silent and gradual manner.
The Front states that the fascist right-wing government continues to intensify its military and colonial aggression through settlements, using these crimes and this bloody escalation as an instrument in the fierce electoral competition between warlords, criminals responsible for genocide, and leaders of the colonial movement, who compete to spill more Palestinian blood and turn it into fuel for their electoral propaganda.
The Front emphasizes that the war criminal Katz’s threats to expand the aggression to include new camps, in parallel with the ongoing offensive against the camps of Jenin and Tulkarem, are part of the doctrine of forced transfer, whose aim is to impose new colonial realities on the ground, expel the population, seize the land, liquidate the cause of the refugees, and destroy the symbolism of the camps as an expression of the right of return and as a living testimony to the permanent crime of dispossession.
The Front renews its call to the entire Palestinian national movement, with all its forces and official and popular components, to live up to its national and historical responsibility in the face of the existential threat facing our people, aimed at uprooting them from their land and liquidating their national cause and their historical and inalienable rights.
Furthermore, the Front emphasizes that the crimes of the occupation, its daily arrests and repression against the fighters of our people, as well as its attacks on all forms of popular resistance against the crimes of the settlers, must strengthen the determination of national cadres and forces to fulfill their responsibilities in organizing and mobilizing popular energies, reinforcing the steadfastness of our people, and expanding the comprehensive confrontation against the occupation and its projects.
The Front reaffirms its call to intensify popular and on-the-ground resistance, and to form protection and emergency committees in the camps, towns, and cities to thwart plans for forced displacement and annexation, emphasizing that national unity on the ground against the occupation constitutes the path to defeating its colonial projects.
