Palestinian Resistance Denounce Zionist Death Penalty Law For Oct 7th Political Prisoners

Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine:

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine asserts that the ratification by the “israeli” enemy’s Knesset, in the second and third readings, of a law to establish a “special military court” to try a group of our heroic prisoners detained since 7/10/2023 is a new fascist and criminal decision that constitutes a full-fledged war crime and a blatant challenge to all international norms and laws. The leaders of this criminal entity, who have committed the most heinous atrocities, a war of genocide, and systematic killing over the past years, are the ones who actually need the establishment of a special international court to try them as war criminals for what their hands have committed against our people.

All our heroic prisoners are fighters for freedom, a source of pride and honor for our people, its vanguard and elite, and the title of its dignity and steadfastness. The enemy’s farcical courts will not succeed in stripping them of their status as fighters.

We warn the “israeli” enemy of the consequences of harming our prisoners, and we affirm that legitimizing execution and opening the door to abusing them will lead to a major escalation and explosion that the “israeli” entity will not be able to contain the repercussions of.

The ratification of this bill by a majority of votes from formal entities, such as the “israeli” coalition and opposition, confirms to the world that this society, with all its parties and civil, security, and military institutions, is a society infected with fascism and racism, and completely detached from any human or legal values.

We reaffirm that all occupation courts are void and illegal, just like the existence of the occupation itself on our land, and that our people’s right to resist this enemy in all forms is a sacred and legitimate right.

Popular Resistance Committees:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. The approval by the criminal “israeli” enemy Knesset in the second and third readings of a law to establish a special military court to try a group of our heroic prisoners held since October 7, 2023, is a decision that reveals the criminality, fascism, racism, and bloodthirstiness of the “israeli” entity and its leaders, the war criminals.

The “israeli” Knesset’s approval of this criminal law is a new episode in the ongoing series of genocide, a new war crime, and a blatant disregard and contempt for all international norms, laws, and charters.

Our heroic prisoners, men and women, in the “israeli” enemy’s prisons will remain a symbol and title of dignity, honor, and pride for our people, our nation, and all the free people of the world, and the spearhead of the resistance and our people in all courts. All the attempts of the enemy, its sadistic leaders, and its invalid, illegitimate courts will fail to strip them of their status as freedom fighters.

This criminal decision confirms that the “israeli” entity, with all its components, parties, and institutions, is a criminal, fascist, sadistic society thirsty for Palestinian blood.

We warn the “israeli” enemy that harming our prisoners will ignite a massive revolution of anger, and we call on all the free people of the world to take immediate and urgent action and escalate activities in support of our male and female prisoners and in rejection of the laws of “israeli” criminality and fascism.

Hamas:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most MercifulThe fascist and racist “israeli” “legislation” approved by the zionist Knesset, which imposes the death penalty on prisoners of our Palestinian people, especially those accused by the occupation of participating in the Al-Aqsa Flood battle, represents a dangerous escalation and a new crime added to the occupation’s record, which is full of war crimes and organized violations against our Palestinian people. We confirm that this “law” is invalid and illegal, and constitutes a flagrant violation of all international laws and charters, foremost among them the Geneva Conventions and international humanitarian law.

The exceptional powers granted to military courts by this legislation, the authorization to bypass rules of procedure and evidence, and the establishment of arrangements to carry out death sentences reveal the vengeful and racist nature of the occupation system. It confirms the fascist occupation government’s pursuit to legitimize the killing of Palestinian prisoners, and to turn courts into tools for vengeance and abuse, far from any standards of justice or fair trials.

This legislation also reflects the occupation’s attempts to evade any future paths for exchange deals, by explicitly stipulating the exclusion of Al-Aqsa Flood prisoners from any release deals, in a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and all humanitarian norms.

We warn of the dangerous repercussions of this racist law, and we emphasize that the policy of terror and fascist legislation will not succeed in breaking the will of our people or deterring them from continuing their legitimate struggle until they obtain their full national rights.

We call upon the United Nations, the International Criminal Court, the Human Rights Council, and all international human rights and humanitarian institutions to assume their legal and moral responsibilities, and to take urgent action to stop and annul this criminal legislation, to hold the occupation’s leaders accountable for their ongoing crimes against Palestinian prisoners, and to work to provide international protection for them, as they are prisoners of freedom and resistance fighters resisting a racist, settler-colonial occupation that is condemned by international laws and charters. We confirm that the silence of the international community regarding these racist policies encourages the occupation government to continue its crimes and violations.
