The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine affirms that the ongoing Zionist escalation in Jabal Ras al-Ein (Qasra), Jalud, Qaryut, and dozens of other Palestinian villages represents a new chapter of systematic aggression and a campaign of terror aimed at displacing and uprooting our people from their land. This is being carried out through the invasion of villages, the seizure of land, attacks on farmers, and the establishment of settlement outposts, with the aim of fragmenting Palestinian communities and imposing permanent colonial realities in the occupied West Bank.
The Front warns that the escalation of the occupation’s crimes and the actions of settler gangs throughout the villages, cities, and camps of the West Bank, under the protection of the occupation army and with the support of its government, represents an expansion of the circle of aggression, especially in light of the continued international silence regarding these crimes.
The Front emphasized that national unity is a necessity to protect the existence of our people and confront the escalating campaigns of displacement, by mobilizing the energies of all our people to defend the land and the Palestinian people. It calls on the masses of our people, as well as all institutions and political and social components, to provide all forms of support and solidarity to the areas and villages that are being subjected to settler displacement attacks.
The Front stresses that resistance in all its forms is a legitimate right for our people in the face of the occupation, to defend their land and rights, and to confront the attacks of the settlers. It reiterates its position calling for the formation of popular guard committees, to strengthen the unified national and popular response to the crimes of the settlers, and to protect the villages, land, and farmers.
The Front also holds the international community responsible for its silence and political complicity, and demands that it take concrete political and legal action to put an end to impunity, and to stop the settlement, displacement, and seizure of land, and to hold the occupation and the settlers accountable for their ongoing crimes.
In conclusion, the Front expresses its pride and full solidarity with our people who are steadfast in Qasra, Jalud, and Qaryut, and in all the villages and towns of the occupied West Bank, affirming that they are not alone, and that their steadfastness and adherence to their land, farms, and homes represent the first line of defense against the project of displacement and annexation, and to thwart its plans.
