Arson Attack on the Town Hall of Kaisariani

Having historical memory, critical thinking and class consciousness we can only recognize our enemies in neighborhoods, parliaments, courtrooms, town halls. Especially in Kaisariani, which is also a neighborhood with a tradition of struggles and social resistance,  that have nothing to do with the popular part of the neighborhood of Kaisariani, are appropriated to its history in order to camouflage their investment plans that will be won by the contractors and the bosses.
Specifically, the plans of Voskopoulos and Theodorikakos are:
  • Siting comprising 14 double capacity points (28 berths) and accessible recharging points for electric vehicles.
  • The historical center “Harama” will be restored and will become a museum.
  • Theatre, open, 700 seats.
  • Redevelopment of the Museum of National Resistance.
  • Construction of climb walls and Skate Park.
  • Renovation of Kaisariani Square with cold materials and smart lighting.
Living in one of the most bleak times one of our last weapons is our memory and consciousness. The only relationship that the current left in Kaisariani has with the 200 of the shooting range, the shaming of majors by fighters, the expropriations of food from the warehouses of mavragorites and those who stand all day on the observatories of the hill Arapi is an epiglyphic touch so as to set up the assimilation and volleying of executives in positions of offices and town halls but also to dress the extermination of the poorest parts of this neighborhood and more widely.
We have no illusions that this whole change of season is for our own good and whatever the narrative of the state, Voskopoulos and every Voskopoulos for development, we know very well that we will not be winners (no matter how much we hate the word profit).
Fiat bosses have never seen the workers laugh and that makes them furious.
The development plans, simply speaking, come to uproot whatever green and beautiful is left and replace it with tons of concrete. They come to cut warts for the pockets of the contractors, the mayor and of course some Kaisarianiotes since the wage is the best way to forget one’s class position.
They come to complete the refining of the neighborhood so that at some point and officially it will fully cover the needs of tourists, locals and not, since we will have metro, we will have more AIRBNBs, but also the history that will have entered museums to become an attraction (this is what Theodorikakos himself stated) he talked about the exploitation of the shooting range, the museum and the dawn for tourist visits to bring profit to the neighborhood (i.e. to the bosses).
Finally, they come to uproot elaborately any character that the neighborhood has maintained from the years when people like Voskopoulos left kicking, the fascists were found executed or hanged, those who profited on our backs selling the tin of oil for a field one morning saw their “shops” emptied while surely Kaisariani would not tolerate so many cops for residents nor the building of YMET active and functional without being attacked.
In this dystopian present that they are trying to build for us, the intentions of the authoritarian grid to suppress to exclude and neutralize all practices that do not result in the reproduction of forms of domination are becoming more and more obvious. Still having in their hands the management practices against the pandemic, they establish the dreamy society of control and surveillance for them, using it as a pretext to pass their measures and suppress anything that does not comply with them and is a danger to public health.
A dying civilization whose regime is trying to bury us under the weight of lack of life.
For all these and many more reasons at the dawn of 12/3 we attacked with Molotov cocktails the town hall of Kaisariani
The attack is dedicated to the anarchist revolutionary Lambros Fountas who was murdered by cops on 10/3/2010
We send fiery signals of solidarity to the remanded comrades Fotis D, Jason R, Thanos Hadjiangelou, Panos Kalaitzis, Georgia Voulgari and Haris Matzouridis
Cops, mayors, politicians have no reason to sleep soundly
Until Anarchy…
