The HPG press center has published the following information on the occupation operation by the occupying Turkish state against the Medya defense zones, which has been ongoing since April 14, 2022…
“The Kurdish freedom guerrillas, armed with an apoist spirit, are dealing heavy blows to the occupying Turkish army by selflessly fighting for the free future of our people. Our armed forces, based on preserving and increasing the values created by our holy fallen without hesitation, continue their march on the victory line, putting into practice the guerrilla tactics of the new era.
In the actions carried out by our mobile teams, 4 occupiers were punished and 3 positions and 2 Mobesse camera systems were destroyed.
The occupying Turkish army bombed the resistance areas 11 times with explosives, tactical nuclear bombs and chemical weapons, 28 times with attack helicopters, 17 times with fighter jets and dozens of times with howitzers and mortars.
The Turkish occupying army tried to destroy the fighting positions in the resistance areas Werxelê and Şikefta Birîndara with excavators and clearing tanks.
The details of the actions and attacks performed are as follows:
As part of the revolutionary offensive Bazên Zagros in the Xakurke region;
At 06:00 on August 31, the occupiers in the Girê Şehid Şahan area in Xakurkê were fired upon by our removal teams from YJA Star. While 4 occupiers were punished in this action, 3 positions and 1 Mobesse camera system were destroyed.
As part of the revolutionary offensive Cenga Xabûre Şehid Savaş Maraş;
- On August 31 at 17:30, 1 Mobesse camera system placed around the combat positions in the Girê Cûdî resistance area was destroyed by our mobile teams.
- Between 11:15 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on August 31, the invaders, who intended to bombard combat positions in the Girê Cûdî resistance area with tactical nuclear bombs and chemical weapons, were hit twice with sabotage tactics.
Attacks by the occupying Turkish army with tactical nuclear bombs and chemical weapons;
- On August 31, the combat positions in the Girê FM, Girê Cûdî and Şikefta Birîndara resistance zones were bombed eleven times with tactical nuclear bombs and chemical weapons.
- On August 31, the fighting positions in the Werxelê resistance area were bombarded with tear gas.
The attacks of the occupying Turkish army;
- On August 31, the resistance areas of Kurojahro, Girê Amediye, Girê FM and Girê Cûdî were bombed 28 times by helicopter gunships.
- On August 31, the Deşta Kafya area of Garê and the resistance areas of Girê Bihar and Sîda were bombed 17 times by warplanes.
- On August 31, the Girê Şehid Hakî, Girê Şehid Kamuran and Geliyê Lolan areas in Xakurkê and the Şehid Adil and Sîda resistance areas were shelled dozens of times with howitzers and mortars.
- On August 31, the invading Turkish army tried to destroy the fighting positions and tunnels in the resistance areas of Şikefta Birîndara and Werxelê with excavators and clearing tanks.
- On August 31, drone activity was observed in the Girê Amediyê, Girê Cûdî and Girê FM resistance areas.
- On August 31, between 12:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., KDP forces will continue their cooperation and road works with the occupying Turkish army in the Girê Amediye resistance area.”
