During these times, there is only one unique thought – the gravity of our words. For some people, words are just a complex of letters without essence. Scattered words that they are doomed to be sold as cheaply as possible from their very first moment of their existence since they were born in dirty mouths. Like stars that fade away when they fall, without the shine. Just darkness. For other people, on the other hand, words are the imprints of actions. Consistency, responsibility, dedication, loyalty, straight-forward words that work as life commitments. A life that needs to be a sum of rebellious moments and war. A life that if you don’t offer it to what you believe in, you are already dead.
A subject’s greatest confrontation is the one between itself and its consciousness. A perpetual silent dialogue, where human weakness stands before the revolutionary tasks and obligations. If you want be called “human”, you have to learn how to walk with your head held high without looking back. To count your steps, as if your words were nailed deep into the ground. Every step is a commitment. Let’s go forward, only forward. Let’s not take a single step back.
My vengeful transfer to the Nigrita prisons was not aimed solely at me but at the community of struggle within the walls that has been trying to break the barrier of silence for two months now. The fascist Mitsotakis’ government wants to bury the prisoners in the cement and those who are still screaming have to face death. Yet death is not the same for all of us. Others hide death beneath their words. Others, again, in their actions. Some others wander like the undead in the metropolitan areas disparaging freedom at every moment. Some smell like death, a death that springs like tears from their eyes. Personally, I have learnt to honor life staring at death’s eyes until today. No half-words, just one commitment: to march to the end, staring at the sky, never at the ground.
In life, I have learnt to consciously choose direct confrontation. To defend the tip of the spear at the forefront of the anarchist struggle. To watch time pass by, from squatted balcony. To pace in the metropolis with a gun in my pocket. To enlist my denials. Not to compromise. My captivity will not change that. I will always stand forward for the collective interest, with vanguard in my thoughts and heart, because the world will change if we all believe it. For this life is not redeemed in submission. I breathe with the vitality of intransigence from the concrete tomb of Nigrita. Because the political responsibility of enlisting in the Organization Anarchist Action is reflected in loyalty and the dedication to the frontline without any second thoughts and half-hearted, naive words. If I’m thirsty? Yes I’m thirsty for freedom, for the moments to come that will define the battles to come. This fight has already been victorious, because I see it in your eyes, that you remember who we are. That’s why you are afraid. For you hear our anger in the thunder of every storm.
With my heart next to the 11 Turkish revolutionaries, next to my brother Alfredo Cospito, my comrade Giannis who continues irrevocably to stand by my side in every complicit thought and everyone who stands truthfully in front of the law of resistance.

Act for freedom now! notes: On the morning of December 19, Thanos Hatzianggelou was kidnapped from Korydallos prison and transferred to Nigrita prison. This is a vengeful act of the State against him as he continues to fight, this time from the cells of democracy, actively participating in the struggle of the prisoners against the new prison code.
And words of Thanos : Since 19/12 I am going on a hunger and thirst strike until they disclose the true reason behind my transfer and my immediate return to Korydallos prison.
