Jenin Battalion Engages in Epic Battle Against IOF

The Jenin Battalion boldly confronted occupation forces storming the city, marking the largest operation since the start of the Al-Aqsa Flood. The Israeli occupation army retaliated by declaring Jenin a “militarily closed area,” escalating tensions in the region.

Taking a stand against the occupation forces, the Al-Qassam Brigades and the resistance forces in Jenin engaged in armed clashes, raining bullets and explosive devices on the soldiers. The Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades vowed to continue targeting the occupation forces until the siege is broken, while also announcing a successful attack on the gate of the “Yitzhar” settlement in Nablus.

Al-Aqsa Martrys Brigade also released this statement:

With the help and strength of Allah, the fighters of Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades succeeded this Wednesday afternoon, 15 Jumada Al-Awwal 1445 AH / corresponding to 11/29/2023, in engaging in armed clashes with the invading zionist occupation forces in Jenin camp during their ongoing aggression, which lasted for many hours, with dense volleys of bullets and explosive devices, inflicting confirmed injuries on the enemy.

Our fighters also managed to trap a zionist infantry force in a tight ambush inside Al-Damj neighborhood, inflicting confirmed injuries among them, including dead and wounded.

Similarly, our fighters were able to detonate several explosive devices at the military troop carriers and their military vehicles in Al-Damj neighborhood directly, causing direct injuries as part of the battle of Al-Aqsa Flood.

It is a revolution until victory… until victory…

Amidst the chaos, two children and a young man were injured by live bullets, while seven young men were arrested during an attempt to storm several neighborhoods. Palestinian websites reported that resistance fighters targeted occupation vehicles with high-explosive devices in the Jenin camp.

Saraya Al-Quds noted their forces had successfully launched several attacks against Zionist forces.

Our fighters in the Jenin Brigade fought with all strength and ability a defense and confrontation operation that lasted for long hours. Our fighters inflicted great losses on the occupation forces.

Our heroic fighters carried out several ambushes and caused confirmed casualties among the enemy’s ranks. They were subjected to a torrent of fire and ambushes with explosive devices. Our fighters, with the power of Allah, also carried out operations to detonate a number of explosives on [enemy] vehicles and infantry forces in the Al-Damj neighborhood, which led to certain casualties.

Sadly, Wissam Hanoun (Abu Watan), one of the leaders of the Martyr Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades and Jenin Brigade, a former prisoner in the zionist occupation’s prisons, was martyred alongside the martyr Mohammed Al-Zubeidi in Jenin after they engaged in armed struggle against occupation forces.

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) wrote:

With immense pride and honor, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and its military wing, the Martyr Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, mourn the martyrs of the steadfast Jenin camp, the heroic leaders:

– Martyr leader Wissam Hanoun (Abu Watan), one of the prominent leaders of the Martyr Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades and a founder of the Jenin Brigade
– Martyr leader Mohammad Al-Zubeidi, one of the key leaders of the Jenin Brigade in the camp.

They ascended on the land of the steadfast Jenin camp during a heroic battle in which they heavily wounded the brutal zionist enemy.

As the Popular Front and its Brigades bid farewell to the two martyred leaders, they extend a salute of pride and honor to their pure souls soaring in the skies of the homeland, and to all the sincere resistance fighters defending the soil of this homeland, making great sacrifices and paying heavy prices for the sake of Palestine, all of Palestine. Jenin will remain a factory of heroes, unbreakable, and a school for teaching generations the meaning of sacrifice and belonging.

We pledge to the martyred leaders that we will continue on their path of resistance until the complete liberation of our land and the expulsion of the zionist invaders.

Glory to the martyrs. Speedy recovery to the wounded. Freedom for the prisoners. We will certainly be victorious.

As the clashes intensified, the Palestinian Red Crescent transported wounded individuals, only to be obstructed by the occupation forces. Shockingly, the occupation forces even arrested one of the injured individuals from inside an ambulance at the Jenin Governmental Hospital. The director of the hospital confirmed that doctors were prevented from treating or receiving any casualties.

Adding to the turmoil, the occupation forces fired at random and launched flares in the airspace of the city and camp. They also aimed stun grenades and toxic tear gas at innocent citizens and their homes, causing suffocation and leading to hospitalizations.

With multiple fronts to combat, the occupation forces stormed the city from different directions, surrounding the government hospital and a residential house. In an attempt to force surrender, they called on a young man to give himself up. Additionally, snipers were deployed on the roofs of high-rise buildings.

The situation escalated further as occupation bulldozers carried out sweeping operations in Jenin, coinciding with military reinforcements being brought in from Al-Jalama checkpoint. These heightened attacks come in the midst of the fulfillment of the Palestinian resistance’s promise to liberate prisoners from Israeli occupation prisons. As the occupation forces stormed Jenin, the fifth batch of Palestinian prisoners was simultaneously being released as part of a prisoner exchange agreement between the Gaza-based resistance and the Israeli occupation.

The PFLP outlined a strategy formula in a statement today.

The resistance, as usual, will respond to this crime and will inflict more losses on the cowardly zionist soldiers, and Jenin of Al-Qassam will remain, as usual, a graveyard for and a thorn in the throat of the occupation soldiers. Its resistance will continue to be blazing and continuous, merging with the resistance of Gaza to make the enemy taste hell and more painful strikes.

The opportunity is now ripe for the West Bank to ignite fiercely in a comprehensive confrontation against this zionist entity across the lands of the West Bank, affirming that the sacrifices of our people and our fighters will not be in vain and will always be fuel for igniting the flame of resistance on the path to liberation.

The conflict between the occupation forces and the resistance in Jenin has now reached a critical juncture, with both sides refusing to back down. The battle for freedom and liberation rages on, with the people of Jenin at the forefront, standing against the oppressive occupation.
