In Gaza, on Tuesday, several Palestinian Resistance factions continued to engage in violent confrontations with occupation forces in the town of Aabasan al-Kabira, east of Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip.
West of Khan Younis, fierce confrontations are also taking place between the Resistance and the raiding occupation forces, coinciding with Zionist artillery shelling, as per our correspondent in Rafah.
Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement, confirmed that its fighters blew up a house, which had been booby-trapped in advance, against an occupation infantry force, which led to casualties among the raiding forces, in the al-Satr area, north of the city of Khan Younis.
In the al-Qarara area, also north of Khan Younis, al-Qassam fighters targeted a Merkava tank and a D9 military bulldozer with al-Yassin 105 shells.
In the same area, the Brigades detonated three booby-trapped tunnels against occupation forces, leaving its soldiers dead and wounded.
The Resistance fighters also targeted an Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) with an al-Yassin 105 shell. Immediately after a rescue force arrived at the scene, al-Qassam fighters targeted a second APC with another shell.
In addition, al-Qassam announced that its Resistance fighters captured a Skylark reconnaissance drone, which was on an intelligence mission east of the al-Zaytun neighborhood, in Gaza City.
On its part, the al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) movement, said its fighters shelled a gathering of occupation soldiers in the town of Aabasan al-Kabira with mortar shells.
The al-Quds Brigades fighters also engaged in fierce confrontations, with machine guns, with occupation soldiers north of Khan Younis.
In the center of Khan Younis, al-Quds Brigades and al-Aqsa Martyrs’ al-Amoudi Brigade shelled a military command and control site with heavy mortar shells.
Within the framework of cooperation between Palestinian Resistance factions in confronting the occupation forces, the rocket forces of the al-Mujahideen Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian al-Mujahideen Movement, and the National Resistance Brigades, the military wing of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP), carried out a joint operation.
During the operation, a series of rocket salvoes were fired at Zionist settlements in the southern Gaza Envelope, achieving direct hits. Al-Mujahideen Brigades confirmed that fires were seen erupting and ambulances were heard rushing to the targeted areas.
Abu Bilal, the spokesperson for al-Mujahideen, mentioned that many mercenaries fighting with the occupation army are being killed in battles, as per the Brigades’ sources from within the occupation entity.
He noted that “Israel” disposes of the bodies of the mercenaries via ships at sea, stressing that these locations are known for the Brigades.
In a related context, the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, the military wing of the Fatah movement, confirmed that its fighters targeted an Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) with RP-G shells, northeast of Khan Younis.
The al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades also announced that they directly hit an infantry force with RP-G shells, which led to casualties among the members of the force, in addition to targeting a gathering of occupation soldiers and military vehicles with mortar shells and short-range missiles.
Earlier on Tuesday, the occupation military confirmed that three of its troops, including a senior officer, were killed in battles with Palestinian Resistance fighters in southern Gaza, raising the death toll among occupation forces to 569 since October 7.
The military identified the killed troops as:
- Lt. Col. (res.) Netanel Yaacov Elkouby, commander of the Gaza Division’s Southern Brigade’s 630th Battalion.
Maj. (res.) Yair Cohen, an acting company commander in the Gaza Division’s Southern Brigade’s 630th Battalion.
Sgt. First Class (res.) Ziv Chen of the Gaza Division’s Southern Brigade’s 630th Battalion.
In addition, two soldiers of the 630th Battalion were seriously injured.
With the announcement, the number of occupation troops killed since the start of the ground invasion into the Gaza Strip now stands at 232, as per Zionist media.
Seeking to conceal the extent of its losses, the occupation military is imposing strict censorship on the accurate figures of its casualties during the ongoing battles in the Gaza Strip, but footage published by the military media of the Palestinian Resistance factions indicates that the losses incurred are much greater than officially declared.
