Several dozen people attacked the police station in La Courneuve (Seine-Saint-Denis) on Sunday evening, firing large amounts of mortars, fireworks and projectiles. Reinforcements had to be deployed to attempt to secure the building. The revolt erupted following the police murder of a youth, killed four days earlier by police who ran him over, while he was riding a scooter in Aubervilliers. Nine people were arrested during the uprising.
