KBDH General Council Member and Spokesperson Hevi Sarya; “We Will Not Let Fascism Pass! We Will Not Let Colonialism Pass!”

As Women’s United Revolutionary Movement (KBDH), we enthusiastically salute the great popular resistance against the colonialist, fascist will usurpation that started in Van and spread to Northern Kurdistan and Turkey. We celebrate this great people’s resistance. There is a saying: ‘He who sows the wind reaps the storm’. Yes, we would like to remind you again that in the background of this great popular resistance, great struggles and resistances have also developed.

From November 25th to March 8th and March 21st Newroz, women and our peoples in Turkey and Kurdistan demonstrated an important political determination.

At the same time, there were freedom marches and at the same time important resistance of revolutionaries, socialists and patriots against torture and police terror. The people of Kurdistan and Turkey had taken their place on the streets with great determination to protect the positions gained, to hold the streets, to develop the struggle for freedom, justice and equality. Therefore, there are many elements that constitute the cornerstones of this great popular resistance. A great struggle against the exploitation of labor, against gender exploitation and against colonial fascism has led to this great popular resistance. At the same time, the great resistance in the guerrilla and militia ranks is a great source of inspiration.

Because today the sons of these peoples are holding the revolutionary battlefields against fascism and colonialism. They are defending free spaces. The heroic great resistance and creative action tactics of the guerrilla in the Media Defense Areas in Bashur Kurdistan, in the mountains and cities of Northern Kurdistan have stood in a place that feeds this great resistance.

The losses inflicted by the army forces of the fascist Turkish bourgeois state against the gangs of the guerrilla, this victory march of the guerrilla has also nourished the struggle of our people.

Again, our militias in Turkey and Bakur Kurdistan in the cities of our militia in a variety of different means of struggle in a series of different types of action fed by a variety of different means of struggle has also deserved to be an important pillar of this resistance.

Therefore, our preparations for the harsh conditions of struggle ahead continue. Of course, our horizon is not limited to the regression of fascism. Nor is it limited to the regression of male domination. As KBDH, we have stated with great clarity from the beginning of the process: ‘We will destroy fascism and male domination. We will win freedom’. Yes, the only way to win freedom will be through a strong revolutionary resistance. Today, the people of Van and the peoples of Turkey and Kurdistan have demonstrated this with their tooth and nail struggle on the streets. Because this is also revolutionary resistance. It is the tracker of a revolutionary-democratic struggle.

The coming process carries a series of difficulties in itself. The fascist Turkish bourgeois state is preparing for new attacks. Today it represents a minority of 2 percent. The 2 percent bourgeois capital class is trying to rule millions with oppression and tyranny. Unemployment and poverty are reaching their final limits. Under the condition that two thirds of the workers, laborers and oppressed live on the poverty line and one third live on the hunger line, the bourgeois representatives of the Turkish bourgeois capitalist class enjoy their billions of dollars in wealth. In such inequality, such injustice, such an order of exploitation, of course, the most determined resistance sections of the oppressed peoples, oppressed genders and their vanguards are the target. Because the Turkish bourgeois state seeks to protect and consolidate its power. The fascist Turkish bourgeois state is aware that the only method of protecting its existence is tyranny and state terror. Because it represents the minority. Because we represent the majority. Because he is wrong. Because we are right. Because they survive and exist from dishonor, torture order, exploitation order, massacre order. We, on the other hand, are the representatives of the resistance, of the struggle for honor, of freedom, and we exist from here.

We would like to briefly refer to some historical days. One of them is the historical turning point that the peoples of Turkey created with the Gezi uprising in response to fascism.

Another one of these is the self-government resistance of our Kurdish people against colonialism.

Again, the experience of struggle of the peoples of Bakur Kurdistan and Turkey, which created the Rojava people’s revolution of the peoples of Kurdistan, as well as the triumph of this resistance, which was the precursor of the victory of the Kobanê resistance, had also managed to become important cornerstones of this historicity.

Yes, such historical turning points still continue today. They still continue today. The Great Van people’s resistance also deserved to be a turning point in this historical moment.

As KBDH, our call to women and our peoples is to evolve this resistance into greater gains.

Yes, against the fascist aggression against the guerrilla areas, yes, against the invasion attacks against the Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria and the Rojava revolution, let us grow the united people’s struggle, the united women’s struggle.

Let us channel the great popular resistance into the struggle against chauvinism, racism, fascism and colonialism today.

Yes, the Rojava people’s revolution, as well as our tremendous guerrilla resistance in the MSA areas, must be defended with great determination and great comradeship. And it will be defended. We will not give way to fascism! We will not pass colonialism!

Yes, this struggle will definitely, definitely win, at any price, with martyrs.

Finally, we state the following. Bimre Koletî! Bijî Azadi!

Down with fascism and colonialism!

Our revolution in Kurdistan and Turkey will surely win!
