Later in the evening of April 10, 24, we attacked the Ege Market on Feldstrasse in Zurich with paint and hammers. We see this action as a small contribution on our part in the fight against the fascist Turkish state and its allies. Ege Import & Export GmbH, under the management of Erol Kutlu, is much more than just a distributor of food from Turkey. It also plays a major role in the AKP’s financial transactions in Switzerland.
As in Turkey itself, the AKP/MHP regime throughout Europe is endeavoring to build up and expand a network of fascist structures (far removed from the state) and to use them to serve its own interests. In Switzerland, the fascists are particularly interested in the possibility of raising money. Whether this happens through the legal sale of food or dubious gambling and betting transactions, or money laundering (one reason why the Zurich public prosecutor is currently interested in the machinations of Kutlu, among others) is less important. It is much more important that the money is regularly collected and then sent to the right addresses, those of Turkish fascism. And this is precisely the task of the owner of Ege Import & Export GmbH. When Kutlu – who, not unsurprisingly, has very rarely been seen in his market since the start of the current proceedings – is not selling overpriced food (probably also due to the crisis in Turkey) or raki under the counter, he is managing the AKP’s financing from Switzerland. This is more than enough reason not to shop in this filthy store, but rather to treat him as a figure of Turkish fascism, i.e. to attack him!
As long as the Turkish fascist state attacks our friends in the mountains from the air – be it with drones or jets and poison gas, as long as they occupy parts of Rojava and continue to threaten the revolutionary project, as long as there are massive attacks against Kurds, such as after the Newroz celebrations in Belgium, we as internationalists see it as our duty to attack fascist actors from Turkey here in Switzerland as well!
With this action, we would like to salute all guerrilla fighters in the free mountains of Kurdistan. Your perseverance and fighting spirit, not only to fend off a technologically highly armed enemy but also to hit them painfully with offensive actions and drone strikes, are not only admirable and inspiring, but also give us daily encouragement and strength to resist the capitalist “temptations” here “in the heart of the beast” and to continue fighting!

Getting a perspective on capitalist barbarism through you warms our hearts and clearly shows us that freedom is worth fighting for!
Finally, we commemorate all those who have fallen, whether in the dungeons of Turkey, in the mountains or in Rojava, and promise to continue your struggle here too, with the current means.
