The escalation of the occupation’s crimes, especially in Rafah, aims to extract concessions from the resistance after its utter failure in the [battle] field.
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine confirmed that the zionist enemy’s escalation of its intense bombardment on the Gaza Strip, particularly the city of Rafah where it committed new horrific massacres last night, aims to increase pressure on the resistance in an attempt to extract concessions after its complete failure to achieve any [battle] field objectives and its inability to retrieve its prisoners.
The Front considers that the enemy, as admitted by zionist leaders and military analysts, is sinking in the Gaza quagmire, with no clear strategic plan or means to escape from the Gaza mud, and is completely incapable of defeating the resistance which continues to control the situation in the [battle] field and once again take command, control, and deployment in all areas, continuing to inflict heavy losses on the zionist enemy army.
The Front added that the continuation and escalation of these zionist crimes once again expose the reality of the American position, which is complicit and biased toward the zionist enemy. It considered that the US administration’s consideration to send the largest weapons deal to the zionist entity since the beginning of the war and its participation in discussions and military plans for an upcoming ground operation in Rafah confirms that there is a green light from the highest levels of the US for the zionist occupation to continue its genocide war and commit the most heinous crimes against unarmed civilians.
The Front condemns the ongoing shameful silence of the official Arab regime, as it is no longer acceptable for the Arab world to remain silent spectators to the genocide war being committed against children, women, and the elderly without taking action. It extends an open invitation to all Arab, societal, and unionist parties to activate their presence and role at the grassroots level and continue to pressure their regimes, in conjunction with their effort and pressure along with the resistance action on the ground.
The Front concluded its statement by affirming that the ongoing new developments in the confrontation and the historical transformations witnessed in the region, as well as the continuation of the resistance forces to draw new rules of engagement, will have significant effects and impacts on the course of the ongoing battle between the resistance and the occupation in the Strip.
