‘The War Has Not Ended’: Explosions across Iran Raise Fears of a New Escalation

Explosions were reported in several parts of southern Iran on Thursday evening as zionist and Iranian officials issued fresh warnings that the latest round of fighting may be far from over.

Iranian state media confirmed blasts near the southern city of Bushehr and the nearby town of Choghadak, while the Mehr News Agency also reported three explosions in the port city of Konarak.

No immediate information was released regarding the cause of the blasts or possible casualties.

The reports came hours after zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that the zionist colonies military campaign against Iran “has not ended.”

Speaking during a zionist Air Force graduation ceremony at Hatzerim Air Base, Netanyahu said the regime now faced “new challenges,” adding that maintaining air superiority remained central to the zionist regime’s national security doctrine.

Zionist Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir echoed the message, saying the military campaign was “not over.”

“New plans are already on the drawing board,” Zamir said. “Major operations still lie ahead. Be prepared.”

The remarks followed two days of direct military exchanges between Iran and the United States after Washington declared the Pakistan-brokered Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding void and launched new strikes against Iranian targets.

Araghchi Warns against New ‘Military Adventure’

Amid the renewed tensions, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi launched a series of diplomatic consultations with regional partners while warning Washington against any further military action.

Araghchi spoke by telephone with Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, and Pakistan’s Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir to discuss the regional situation and efforts to preserve the ceasefire following the latest US attacks.

According to Iranian media, Araghchi condemned the American strikes on Iranian territory and warned against any new US “military adventure.”

His outreach followed Iran’s large-scale retaliation against American military assets in the Gulf.

Iranian forces said they carried out coordinated missile and drone strikes targeting strategic US facilities in Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Jordan, and other locations in response to the latest American attacks.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said the operation targeted Camp Arifjan and Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, along with Juffair Naval Base and Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain, before later announcing the destruction of a US regional command-and-control center and Al Azraq Air Base in Jordan using ballistic missiles.

Iranian media also circulated footage that it said showed the downing of a US MQ-9 Reaper drone over Khormoj in Bushehr Province following the American strikes.
